I trust Jose to get these things right, could very well want to try out this midfield 3 against the scum in a few days and wants to see them operate together for a bit first.

We have 5 subs in EL matches and the pace is a lot slower.

He’s a sly bastard is Jose. He’s not planning to play expansive touch passing against Woolwich. He’s going to have Winks man mark Auba probably and this is his excuse ready for not starting TND/GL and for “parking the bus.”

He’s going full double decker at the weekend. It won’t be to defend but to force Woolwich at us, and they will be sliced open.

Half the CL dropouts get seeded with the second place EL teams.
This. I know we're seeing these next two games as crummy EL matchups but they are must win games. We need to take all of these games as absolute must win games. There are going to be some pretty good teams dropping down into Europa and the last thing we want are one of those right off the bat.

I think you misinterpreted my post. Half the CL dropouts get seeded with the first place EL teams and half get seeded with the second place EL teams.

By the way, most of us said before the season that winning the EL was our #1 priority for the year. We could argue/debate if that's changed given our great start, but putting out a strong team to secure a ticket to the next stage of the competition is what prioritizing the EL looks like. We can't forget Antwerp did beat us, I don't expect it to happen again next week, but pump LASK today and were through, that's what counts.
