Transfers Have we re-signed Christian Eriksen yet?

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

West Ham have been linked with a loan bid for Eriksen while it's understood Hammers boss David Moyes has also considered a move for Lingard too.

Ajax and Wolves are also said be interested in Eriksen but the Dane is embroiled in a wrangle with Inter over missing fees to his agent Martinus Schoots.

It's believed Schoots was given a mandate to negotiate Eriksen's release from Spurs but has so far been paid only £900,000 of the agreed £6.3million fee by Inter.

Schoots has filed an arbitration request with an Italian Sports Court for the rest of his commission - and that is holding up Eriksen moving this month.
If those figures are correct, then no wonder top class football is so corrupt.

Kane with some dele and Ericksen behind gotta be better than the shite we are served up currently. Would still require a different approach and mentality which is unlikely.

Told yall.

If he goes there and after a few games is not deemed good enough by Moyes to get a game for the “mighty” Hammers we will still have people on here desperate to get him back. He is no longer good enough at the top level so be thankful that we got some good service from him and look to the future

Thank you. I don't understand this fanbase's obsession with Eriksen, the guy wanted to leave and had the worst last season ive ever seen. There is no way in hell we should be getting him back. Guarantee you he would be worse than Bale is right now. It would make no sense.

I admit that my reasoning to this move is emotional. Bale hasn't worked, but Eriksen is younger.

He has always been fit, he needs a confidence boost. His footballing intelligence won't be gone over night. A bit of the same what I think about Dele actually. No problem with people seeing it differently.

A 6 months contract if the player and Mourinho would be worth the gamble.

Dont understand why some would want him back given the manner in which he left.

Also dont see where he would fit in the current starting XI

His best option is to beat Alli to PSG.

Until yesterday we were starting Harry Winks in league matches, of course there is a space for him. I'd much rather have him than Lucas, Winks or Sissoko. Even in his cack last half-season he produced better numbers than Lo Celso and he's always fit too.

In this very difficult pandemic market we have to be pragmatic. If we can afford to bring Eriksen back then we should do it, our squad has so little quality in midfield. Who else could we get? We don't have the money to buy anyone at the moment.

I don't know about Eriksen

He's Premier league proven and would increase our creativity output.
But also he's been off-form for ages and there's a reason why Inter are willing to sell him.

Motivation is also an issue , he wanted to leave but now he wants to come back?

I'm sort of sat on the fence. Won't be upset if he doesn't sign but will be happy if he does.

I didnt think he left in a bad way, they offered him more money but he said on camera he would like to try something else, that hasnt worked and if offered a second bite of the Spurs cherry he would like to take it up, I have no bad feelings about Eriksen at all and yes I know he was out of form but as the old saying goes , form is temporary ,class is permanent. What have we got to lose, the new Cinch sponsorship would pay his wages

That wasn't just a bad run of form. That was somebody playing like they didn't want to be here. He let the club and his team mates and his manager down imo. Both bale and modric the season before they left knew they was moving on and gave us 100% on the pitch and still put in top level performances. Felt to me like Eriksen shit all over us because he didn't get his dream move to Real Madrid.

Other than Hojbjerg, Ndombele and Lo Celso (beginning to have reservations) who are nailed-on starters if they're fit, then our midfield /AM options comprise (without delving into the Academy)

Winks, Sissoko, Dele, Gedson, Lamela, Bale, Lucas, Bergwign (OK had a good game yesterday but seems unable to score).

Now Eriksen was poor is his last 18 months with us but who wouldn't take him over any of the above?
