Manager Jose Mourinho

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

By those who have their noises planted up this bore's arse I would assume.

The thing is, players will always get it in the neck, people just gotta look what is going on that's causing this. What the performances are like. Whether we have a plan, whether that plan is working and if it's not what are we doing about it.

We are playing shit, this is his team, his tactics, his selections, his motivations, his subs. There is a consistent problem, it's not a one-off game. It's systemic. It's the manager.
We were the same level of shit before Jose put pen to paper, though.

Not really - just the general vibe as far as I can tell regarding Rodon's performance: generally good but let himself down for the third goal.

As for the attacking side of our play, nobody agrees with him that we weren't dogshit.

Whose fault is it? They had loads of the ball and did fuck all with it. PEH had to score from miles.

Players were shit. Jose was shit as well, but acting like a manager switch is gonna change anything is delusional. This squad was shit before Jose. It's its shit with Jose. And it'll be shit after Jose, too.
So best we don't change anything then. Stay as we are?

You change when things are shit, to improve the team. We've actually improved with every manager change, except this one.

Not his biggest fan but given the style of football he wants his team to play he probably deserves to be backed with the signing of a top level center back of his chosing (within reason) before being considered 'finished' as a top manager. We obviously need a right back and another midfielder, and probably a right wing player as well. I do worry that Doherty was apparently his choice of signing as RB.

Can't say he's grading any higher than a C on his performance as coach so far. I'd be shocked if we managed top four, based on how we've played this year with a mostly clean bill of health.

did you see diers passing? having three shots is a miracle when you got a defender who cant pass to anyone in a white shirt. constantly up against it all game because the defenders cant pass properly.
We have the best CF in world football, one of the best AM's in world football and one of the best CM's in world football, a keeper who before tonight who had the best save % in Europe, one of the best DM's is the League and we had THREE SHOTS ALL GAME.

Dier
Winks
Sissoko
Lo celso
Bergwin
Lamela
Moura

All players that just don't make the cut for title challenging tbh. Just not good enough. Some better than others. Winks, Sissoko and Dier need selling ASAP. As does Lamela who never for filled his potential and is a squad player. Lo celso is okay but isn't creative enough.

There needs to be serious money pumped into this side.

So well over a year later we're just as shit as we were when we sacked the last manager?

Is this an argument in defense of Mourinho because i don't think you've thought it through if so...
I'm not defending Mourinho, just saying it's bizarre to try and lay all the blame at his feet and ridicule his saying the players were shit. Its fucking true.

We don't employ a single defender that could get into another top 6 club. Not fucking one. You can fucking dig up Bill Nicholson and appoint SAF as his #2 tomorrow and they won't win a fucking thing with this defence.

So yeah, maybe in the summer we should move on from Jose, ok, but until we sign a new back line we're going no where.

and defenders who cant supply any of them with a decent ball to get things going. so we get the ball to ndombele and hope he beats 2 men.

We were sold results.

I want results.

We were supposed to endure the tedium, the boredom, the pragmatism, the low block, the three shots a game in exchange for the results.

Where are my results ?

Just a fucking Dias , Fofana , Upamecano, Alaba , or anyone else .. someone able to do a clean long pass + run with the ball to create the space ...

I do like how some people are looking back at Poch's football like some nirvana. Yes it was good for a spell but from a while before the Champions League final it was awful. Possession for possessions sake and we had the same level of melting that we do now.

It's not great. Tonight wasn't great. However, if you looked at the match thread in the build up, there weren't many confident. Most would have been happy with a point.

We lost. To Liverpool. And I hate it. But it's not like we never lose to them.

We're still in four comps. We still have a great chance of actually winning something this season.

Now, having said all that, I will not be quite so understanding if we lose on Sunday
