Manager Jose Mourinho

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Was big supporter in getting Jose in, but even I’m getting pissed off now of him bringing on midfielders and players that couldn’t score in a brothel for Harry Kane. You have 2 attacking players on the bench in Bale and Vinicius, but he opts for Winks and Lamela. Just incredible. We would of lost the game regardless because Pool are on another stratosphere compared to us, but would be nice to see Jose actually try and win the fucking game

Pochettino has been done to death at this stage. The bottom line was by the time he was sacked he’d lost the dressing room and we couldn’t beat anyone, not even bottom of the table Watford at home or near bottom of the table Brighton.

I was of the view it was the correct decision to sack him. I was also of the view that it was not the correct decision to bring in Mourinho.
I am not Mourinho in either.

The issue with people harping about sacking the manager is that they don't even know what they want beside sacking of current manager. If they think sacking Poch and get Mourinho is bad, then they simply miss that it can get worse.

The bigger issue we have is squad building. We had the best team with Poch and we didn't win nothing. The rot started under Poch. We tried to stop the rot, getting even some less prestigious trophies with Mourinho.

Our budget wouldn't attract Pep. Klopp hardly started winning trophies for Dippers without spending big.

It's easier to go from the bottom half to Poch reign peak years than reversing the decline to stay at the top. Even Dippers currently not at their level the past few seasons. Pep Man City with all the money pumping into the team despite still a big favorite is not maintaining the high standard of previous years either.

I was staggered he didn't put Vinnie on when Kane went off.

I've never been anti Jose like some but I'm losing patience now with some weird ass tactics and substitutions. The guy has been so lucky we've had no fans at football grounds

I won't be unhappy if we have a new manager in the summer. Problem is I don't trust Levy to appoint the right man

I'm Mourinho out but makes little sense doing it now - work on getting the appointment right in the summer.

Mourinho is one of the highest paid managers in the game so our options moving forward are healthy.

I don't want to see a repeat of going in to a full season with a dead man walking, then a reactionary change in Nov/Dec - get it done at the end of the season so next season isn't a waste too

Our defence is woeful - so you'd think Mourinho would instead prefer to put more emphasis on attack and play through midfield instead of having the defenders knock it long, losing possession and instead inviting more pressure on said poor defence.

He got it wrong today.

Work to do for the weekend. Tough month coming up now too with the FA Cup, Europa League, Man City, Chelsea and West Ham. Without Kane and especially Reguilon, it's going to be a very very long month. We never seem to look the same without Reguilon, 3 of our 4 league losses have come without him starting and we definitely don't look the same without Kane.
What happens if Brighton find their goal scoring just in time for us, and then Tuchel pulls Mourinho's pants down in his third Chelsea match? That would be 33 points after 21 played. 59 point pace.

If he loses the next two Levy has to cut his losses, get rid of Mou immediately, put in a caretaker and get Hasenhuttl this summer.

There's no chance Mourinho will be sacked with a League Cup final in a few months time.

Even if we find ourselves in 10th place - as long as we are in the cups, Levy will keep Mourinho. At least until the summer.

He’s a frustrating manager.

He obviously breaks games down in the minutest detail. The opposite of Poch. It’s not about style or simply trusting the players to find a way to win. He treats it like an equation - we will create five chances and only concede three opportunities, therefore, we *should* win.

I can see how that sort of intense, objective way of approaching a game might work with some players, but others, especially younger ones are going to think it kind of sucks.

All our players must be terrified of making mistakes. Not a good atmosphere.
Pep does the same thing in terms of details, but they are the complete opposite in how they create and prevent chances, so I don't think it's the style as much as the substance.

It's maddening that he expects an average defense to be stellar 90 minutes every week, while Son/Kane need to finish 100% of their chances in order for us to win.

I don't think Levy gives one squirt of piss for the League Cup. FA Cup may be a different story, but he's not going to keep Mou around just so he can coach the League Cup final in April.

I don't see any world where Mou isn't back next season. We know how Levy looks at him with hearts in his eyes. And given that this is his first full season, and it's a Covid season with no fans, I just don't see a world where Levy doesn't give him at least one more full season. Plus: we know how much Levy watches his pennies, and already having recently bought out Poch and staff, he won't be quick to do the same thing again.
