Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

The truth is Kane should be out lesser, especially in these big games and too often isn't.

Read that I'm any which you wish much they are the facts.

Remind me how many goals has he scored against Woolwich? I'm convinced your not really a Spurs fan. If you are you're the most miserable one in existence who rarely says anything positive about the club. And Todd (English football and footballers are shit except DCL who is better than Kane) 1882, isn't much better.

I before e but fair points.

Not saying it is a ll down to one player and of course other players need to show (today like so often they didn't) but being called world class comes with expectation.

It's the way of it and to that extent Kane has to do better in these games to warrant the mantle.
He's "done better" in these games lots of times. Outside of Messi and Ronaldo, who are freaks, not everyone else can perform every single game. Kane comes close but he's human and will have games here and there where he's not 9 out of 10. Everyone is rightly hyped about Erling Haaland, but go watch their last game yesterday in which they won 2-0. By his own standards he was shocking.

Had we actually attacked with intent much sooner than we did I have no doubts Kane would have much more invovled.

Mate it's simple.

My view on Kane is as previously stated and won't be changed by today and in part has merely been reinforced.

In the biggest games and invariably those are semi-finals/finals or away games of material importance Kane has never dominated. Period.

If speaking the truth makes me a phoney Sours fan then so be it but it's bo!!ocks.

Of course. But he didn't try to win the ball even once. Gabriel and Luiz just cleaned it up every single time without even getting pressured, which in turn allowed them to build from the back.

If you don't press from the front, you can't press at all.

There's a reason every other big team plays with a central offensive player who will constantly start and engage the press. If your striker decides nah, i'll wait for the others to do it, it jsut won't work.
Of course he tried. I saw him try to close down plenty of times. Clearly he wasn't 100% fit and did look a touch on the slow side, but it certainly wasn't through a lack of effort. Give him the ball in the right areas and he can still destroy. We didn't do that anything like often enough.

Probably wasn't 100% fit but even if he was people expect him to press relentlessly and score and create all our goals while playing as a single striker. Nobody will do that. Certainly Lewandowski and Haaland don't do it.

It's the system and style of play that is the issue not Kane. He's a great player, the whole fucking world knows that.

I will concede that to an extent and in the spirit of fairness..

I am certainly not blaming Kane for our loss today.

It's completely on the team but they need our star men to lead them but also correct and fair to say it does not always have to be Kane.

Stop crying when we lose. It’s unbecoming of a senior citizen.

Yeah, you're a troll. Even the name... who signs up to a forum of a club they support with such a username. You used to be more obvious in your trolling but you've gotten better at it. One of things I hate most about Mourinho is that he's been a blessing for the trolls. There must be a dozen on the forum at the moment at least.

Unfortunately most of the great games Harry has now seem to be against the likes of Sheffield United, Burnley and Crystal Palace. Think it’s 7 blanks in 9 games against so called ‘Big 6’ this season.

I wouldn’t hold him any way culpable for today though. We were so bad back the pitch we could barely get the ball up to him. He did deliver a peach of a cross that should have been buried, hit the post from a free kick and just offside with that disallowed header.

That's largely down to the fact that anytime we play anyone that has one or two genuinely good players in their line up, Mourinho shits a brick.

As you allude to, not his fault if no one gives him the ball. Against anyone decent we shrink and find it difficult to string 3 passes together. We can't deal with any pressure. In the first half, I saw him go deep and pass a peach of the ball cross field. The move broke down shortly after. Kane didn't really go deep much today. The moment I mentioned was out of his own frustration. I presume he was told to stay high because of the counter.

Tbh, Kane was almost as bad as Bale.

I know he's probably tired and fucked by injuries but he barely pressed. Didn't make runs. Totally static and didn't hold up the ball once. Kane 3-4 years ago would have scored twice this game, no doubt.
He was very unlucky to not have scored. I thought he stepped up towards the last 20 minutes when we actually felt some sort of urgency.

As far as his fitness goes, why the fck is Jose playing him in Europa league games before the NLD. He needs to rotate players in and out of games regardless of whether they are Harry Kane or not.

If you actually knew anything about Kane, other than the happy stuff, you’d know that was pretty unlikely.
Crunch game vs a rival..? Oh look it’s the Harry no show.

Sadly, I was right again.
Hopefully Kane can stick it to the farmers on Thursday and that will mean he was world class today....and Dier did it

Hooray

Right I’m definitely off now, today’s been shit enough without having to read the replies of the clueless

#watchgamesnotgraphs
