Manager Jose Mourinho

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I bloody wish I hadn’t bothered most of the time. Actually pretty glad I don’t have to think about midweek games much now.

I have watched all the cup games. But I have only watched one full Spurs Prem game and maybe 4 games in total if you add up all the minutes combined.

I don't care if we lose what I can't tolerate is turgid paint drying football from a Chelsea manager with players averaging 100k a week salaries that have downed tools.

This all hinges on Levy, not only for hiring him in the first place and giving him more money than he’s ever given one of our managers, but also now for not sacking him at numerous points this season.

Ive always backed Levy as I think he has slowly taken us forwards off the pitch to the point we are now a huge club

But the constant failings on it are on his shoulders also

Totally agree with this . I never wanted Mourinho but annoyed that it has not worked because I could have put up with the arrogant narcissist if we were wining.
That's the thing. I don't think anyone thought Mourinho would be a long term appointment, or a particularly stable one, but I thought he was a winner of trophies and therefore would have accepted the carnage he would leave behind for the sake of actually winning something. Should have known better. We have got the short term manager and the carnage, but no trophies!

As usual, we promise so much, and deliver so little.

Tottenham: Lloris (6), Aurier (6), Sanchez (6), Dier (6), Davies (6), Sissoko (5), Winks (5), Lamela (6), Alli (6), Moura (6), Kane (6).

Subs used: Bale (7), Lo Celso (7), Vinicius (5), Reguilon (6), Bergwijn (5).

Man of the match: Mislav Orsic.

SO I WILL TAKE THAT APOLOGY NOW!!!! Thanks
The game lasted 120+ minutes Ndombele came on at the same time as Lo Celso you fucking idiot.
Had you watched the game the marks given out of 10 for any Spurs player last night were far too generous.
A maximum of 4 out of 10 were the correct grading and that also includes Jose.

A new manager needs to do that thing Poch did with adebeyour and kaboul and bin off the difficult personalities. Take a hit on fees and offload. Sissoko springs to mind.
Unfortunately, I don’t think Sissoko has a bad attitude. Quite the opposite. I think he’s a serious professional. He’s just fucking shit.

If I had to take a punt on who Hugo was calling out last night it’s Dele, Aurier, Winks and Bale. Not sure on Tanguy. He’s starting to get on my tits (mainly because of how much smoke everyone blows up his arse) but I think he’s committed. If not, he can fuck off too.

Agree, IMO he's actually an example to the squad of getting on with things.
He was piss poor last night, not no more so than anyone else.

Levy won't sack him, not yet anyway he needs to save face and I'd imagine he's desperately hoping Jose wins the league cup to justify his decision to the fans.
What someone said a couple pf pages back rings true in that Mourinho might tell Levy he'll resign if he loses the league cup final thus saving a big payout. Win for Mourinho as he gets another shot at his ego driven 'won a trophy everywhere i've been', win for Levy as he either saves a ton of money or gets a trophy to try and justify a shite appointment. Either way he'll be gone at the end of the season latest. I'd get rid now but can see why a scenario like this might be tempting to all parties.

I was one part really proud of him for saying what he did and his attitude, but really upset by it because it is evident there is a very deep rot inside the team and maybe organization. So many of the comments were directed at certain players but the issues are obviously spreading like a cancer in the side.

This is not going to be a quick fix...
And needs a ruthless manager backed to the hilt by Levy

Who’d take it on?

And would Levy back him?

I really don’t know but generally this crisis has united the Forum

Get rid now and install a caretaker

Won lose or draw the League cup final no way Jose resigns
Too much cash at stake

Levy has to act today

Never thought I’d be posting this

We seriously need someone with an iron fist, capable of sorting out these little shits putting half arsed performances week in. You either play 100% or you fuck off. Simple as that. But the problem is I don’t think Levy will give so much authority to a manager, even someone he coveted for a long time like Jose hasn’t got too much power.

Sissoko seriously threw the towel in last night. I think he’s got a history of not giving a fuck. He is also pretty shit.
I don’t think winks is a difficult character- a bit deluded possibly and seriously out of form, but I think he’d constantly try for the team.
I guess a big challenge is that with a personality like mourihno it’s difficult to truly know if they’re alienated, not giving a fuck, difficult to manage, or just totally gash.

I know you all hate Mourinho but what if we get a new guy in and he gives all the players a new slate?

Do we really want Dier, Dele, Winks, Sissoko, Doherty all getting another season to try and (fail) to impress a new manager?

That scares the shit out of me a lot more than seeing what Mourinho could do if he gets them out the door in the summer!

I agree to an extent in that we need these players to go, but I think Jose has to go too and would want him out before the players. The new manager can decide about his squad.

Are these player ratings? I know they're not yours, but what is going on here? Sanchez and Ndombele probably the only two deserving of a 5 or 6.. the rest were rubbish.

Any new manager will be tipped off by people at the club and do their research. I really can't see Rodgers, Naglesmann or anyone else thinking i'm going all in on Doherty, Sissoko and Dier. Alli may survive a cull from past reputation but the other ones will be off if we can find any takers. Nothing scares me more than Mourinho staying in charge, think we'd be more likely to go down than get top 4.
