I don't totally dispute what you're saying, but I do doubt Doherty, PEH, Hart or Rodon were the names he had top if JM's list. PEH has worked out well, but not convinced if there was no restraints, we'd have been in for him.
Only really Doc and maybe Stevie B who’ve been a waste: Reggie decent, PEH better than the alternative, Rodon not tearing up trees but has looked passable; Bale, Vin, Gedson etc are loans.
