Manager Jose Mourinho

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I think the players had some belief. They don’t now.
I think those that get selected regularly believe. What they believe in is the bit that is questionable.

Even against Utd I thought we looked extremely vulnerable, we hadn't laid a glove on them until moments before we scored and they went down to 10 men. Against Southampton, I thought we were shit, especially the first half.

I found Lloris's interview incredibly revealing but ultimately it speaks to a fractured side, fractures completely manufactured by the manager.

There is always discontentment from players who don't get played, this also must not be confused with throwing hissy fits after getting subbed off etc. Roben used to lose his shit whenever he got hooked (this is a good sign IMO) and players like Rose in the past speaking out of turn can be found frequently in teams.

But the bigger the number of resentment, the bigger the problem and speaks solely to the lack of managerial leadership. The inability to get most of the players onside and follow the plan.

So going by Lloris's interview there are 11 players that believe in the manager (or have allowed to believe in him/open to him and follow what he asks), the issue perhaps that anyone not in this 11 which means +14 players isn't onboard! This is really poor management for this to happen and it's not for the 3rd time in his career too.

'Do you accept Jose Mourinho as you savior' and a vaste majority of Spurs fans saying YES. Reading this 1.5 years ago made me so incredibly sad.... Sadly Spurs is not as similar to Ajax as I always imagined. Straight from the beginning Ajax fans would NEVER EVER accept this football rapist as their manager. Now Mourinho has taken your pride too.
Hopefully we'll take your manager and a couple of your players.

Nor should it, frankly. And he should be gone before then.

Why does the board think Mourinho is better suited to coach this team than a caretaker at this point?

What if covid hadn't delayed the League Cup Final? Hell, what if we even won it? Would this still be acceptable?

Not for me. So, why does the fact that Mason Mount (whose manager has since been sacked) can't shoot penalties mean Jose still has a job?
