Imagine no more Sky Sports, no more listening to Jamie Carragher screaming when Liverpool score against us. No more Roy Keane trolling us at every opportunity. The demise of Sky Sports could be one of the benefits.

I guess it is a power struggle. I can't see the Premier League throwing Man United and Liverpool out, those are the cash cows.
Would this really harm the Premier League that much, if at all? As a sporting competition, maybe, but as a business venture, which is what they care about? It would be suicide if they kicked the big 6 out.
The more I think about it the more I'm in favour because:
The combination of the pandemic and Mourinho have been a disaster for us, it could take several years to get back to where we were, making it very difficult to hold on to the likes of Kane. Those problems are solved in an instant and with the new stadium built we're well placed to benefit from this more than most.
I don't think any PL teams would have considered this without Covid but it's taken hundreds of millions out of their coffers.
This sums it up perfectlyYou can fall out of love, you know.
We've just watched our girlfriend quit her job and the gym and take up daytime TV and KFC full-time for the past 2 years. And now they tell us they're thinking of signing up for a pyramid scheme of perfume sales.
It's not me, it's you.
Premier League is basically threating to shoot itself in the head. What would Sky and BT pay for broadcasting rights without the 'big 6'?
Those clubs have plenty of power. The PL can threaten to kick them out but it seems like a massive bluff to me.
Playing Paris Arab Emirates in New Jersey...
PL would survive without these teams in it domestic wise. Issue is foreign fans who don't care about increases in ticket prices that go with this and the average fan being kicked out, because they will only ever watch on TVPremier League is basically threating to shoot itself in the head.
