For me the things that frustrates me about all of this is the fact that we have entry to a European Super League for the next 20 years without having to do fuck all. Competition is done.

Seasons like this one we're experiencing make you appreciate getting in the Champs League, let alone getting to a final. This competition just brings an end to any enjoyment in football.

I don't even understand how we class as being a 'founding member'.

Least Dulux paint are gonna be smiling now.

Then the Top 6 will invite 14 other clubs to form a league and there'll be no shortage of takers. The clubs have become more powerful than the leagues now.
The PL would need to discuss its decision with the other 14 teams before exiling “the 6”.

Gut feeling, the stench of this is so bad the 14 make a stand and don’t move away from the PL.

If the PL has any courage they can make this really difficult for us and the others.

If I’m the PL, I pull the cord on the 6 and kick them out the league.

It’s a Harvey Spector style gamble but I think it pays off. Without the bread and butter of the league there’s not much sustainability for any want-away club.
Did you miss the £250M check for signing on? The money from this cringey comp will dwarf league money. PL kicks out these 6 clubs and it need look no further than the FL to see how the finances of that decision are gonna turn out.

I support them doing it, mind you, but its a principled move. No way they can buffalo these 6 into standing down.

The problem with that is the TV money.

All the tv money will now be with the ESL.
There'll be less money paid for the PL or whatever league replace it, which means less money to go down the pyramid.

Of course the big clubs don't give a fuck.

And if you know your history, it’s enough to make your heart go.....

Alan Sugar’s role in the last ITV deal & his absolutely pivotal role in the creation of the Premier League......

we can easily find grubby hands within our own story, now is no different really.

The founding members will have the right to make other clubs permanent members..

It's sort of like the Mafia. You can't join until they ask you but once you're in, there is no getting out.

Likibg dortmunds stance on it. I dont agree with this at all. We will be the whipping boys every week eho can honestly say they look forward to that. Tickets will be expensive every game unless your rich. Pathetic.

Right, after deliberating for hours, I've come to terms with how I feel about this.

1. I really REALLY wish this wasn't happening. From the bottom of my heart, I hope it doesn't go through.

2. BUT if it is inevitable, I'd rather be in the big boys club.

3. I am going to have a cry wank now. Night all
We will be the littlest boy in the big boys club who will bully us every week. This league cup final could be our last ever chance to win a trophy ever again.

The sponsorhip and advertising revenues of PL go overnight.

The only reason why the existing sponsors pay multi million sums annually are due to ManU, Liverpool, ManCity, Spurs, Woolwich playimg matches. Burnley v Newcastle and Fulham v Leicester have minimal value to sponsors/advertising.

Imagine if the FIFA and UEFA decided to not allow players from the breakaway 6 clubs for the national team. So Kane cant win with us or with the country.

That was what Football was like before European competition came into existence. And attendances were higher then. There's still great kudos and increased money for finishing as high as possible and the non superleague members will still having something to fight for.

The ultimate result might see domestic leagues decided by play offs, as that generates the most revenue.

They will probably come up with an unfunny joke and take the Gloss off it.
