Did you miss the £250M check for signing on? The money from this cringey comp will dwarf league money. PL kicks out these 6 clubs and it need look no further than the FL to see how the finances of that decision are gonna turn out.

I support them doing it, mind you, but its a principled move. No way they can buffalo these 6 into standing down.
I’m not convinced. The 250m is a “sign on” bonus, I’d be absolutely shocked if the financials for this league would replace the earnings from league, CL, FA and LC that a club like us can earn annually.

Also factor in the fan reaction of not playing in the local league, no derbies with West Ham etc.

I completely disagree with the notion that if the PL kick us out it’s water off a ducks back.

In relation to your point about PL finances, that’s going to happen to a smaller scale anyway. This absolutely dilutes the value of the PL as a commodity, especially to foreign fans. TV revenue for the PL will drop significantly. The PL need a ballsy move.

Having to possibly play Woolwich, Chelscum a fucking minimum EIGHT times a season. It's bad enough as is. Truly awful prospect which I expect to get binned and met with the backlash it deserves

Now the announcement is out, I'm trying to look for positives.

Yes at the moment we'd be the whipping boys but if Jose goes, spend the money well, we could easily become competitive.

I'm not for it but then I hated the Champions League when it became the champions and three others.

Obviously they just need to stop at this plan. No 39th game. No international 'home' games in the Hard Rock Stadium, Miami but if they do that it could become watchable.

Plus it can help us in the Premier League which I still wanna win.

So it's wrong yes but, when the smoke clears, it might be ok.

How long do you think these guys have really been discussing this Super League? I just read on the New York Times website how Perez was going on about each founding club having a state of the art stadium.
Surely this had nothing to do with our stadium being built, right?

Pochettino's legacy at Tottenham is now understood.

He turned us from a club on the same level as Aston Villa into a Champions League club.

That's why we're now in the European Super Club. That's why our financial future is now secure for the next million years.

Pochettino deserves a statue outside the ground.

The sponsorhip and advertising revenues of PL go overnight.

The only reason why the existing sponsors pay multi million sums annually are due to ManU, Liverpool, ManCity, Spurs, Woolwich playimg matches. Burnley v Newcastle and Fulham v Leicester have minimal value to sponsors/advertising.
The move isn’t designed to actually remove them from the league, it’s leverage to discuss this not happening.

PL revenues are about to nose dive either way. This super league massively dilutes the value of the PL as a commodity.

It would be remiss of the league to bend over and take it without fighting back.
