I don’t blame Mason at all. He’s never managed at this level. To expect him to make good calls is unreasonable. He’s being put in charge to compete with one of the most successful managers in football and a squad built with billions. To expect something out of this final is in my opinion unreasonable. If Jose was setting us up and we failed to win, then yes. We can blame Jose because he has the experience and understands what it takes at this level.

Sorry but that sounds pathetic.

None of us here have managed a team at this (or anywhere near this) level, yet out of maybe 5000 members you would have found ~10 players who would have started with Winks over Ndombele and brought on Sissoko for Lo Celso.

That is very basic level stupidity that could have been avoided by most of the fans here in the forum.
Very hard to believe that Levy is at fault cause he forced Ryan to play those two bags-of-nothingness.

Agree completely. Not sure why people are bending over backwards to defend those ridiculous subs.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it was Sissoko coming on.

Imagine it was Ndombele and Bale. That would have given City something to think about. Hold out for 70 mins and bring those two on for a late push and extra time.

As soon as they saw Sissoko coming on the whole City team could relax, they knew it was over.
 
I didn't agree with the starting lineup and I didn't agree with the subs.

But the abuse he has come in for is ridiculous. He has been appointed, out of the blue, into one of the biggest jobs in the country.

Based on what I've seen so far he is far from near to up to it but I'd much prefer him in charge til the end of the season than Jose.

He's Spurs through and through yet he's getting abused based on a performance in a game we were never tipped to win and when we all know how crap the players have been the last few season.

Behaviour of some apparent adults on here is pathetic.

People wanted a fresh start under Mourinho. To Dare is to Do and all that.

Instead we got Mourinho-lite.

We could have lost 3 nil but as long as Mason had gone for it most people would have no complaints.

To just bend over and take it and wait to lose is what is most sickening. Doesn't chime with all the shite he was talking about "Spurs DNA". He didn't back up his words with actions.

So it was Poch's fault, then it was Jose's fault and now it's Ryan's fault.

Like I said, I didn't agree with some of his decisions yesterday but eventually we have to let the players take some responsibility.

Again yesterday some couldn't complete 3 yard passes. Yes I don't think the selection helped but everyone would have picked Son for example and I don't think I've seen him have a worse game.

I am under no illusions about the talent of the squad. We are miles and miles off being a team that can really compete for silverware.

Anyone who thinks we'll be challenging for titles with a couple of signings are living in dreamland.

None of this excuses Mason's decisions yesterday. Sissoko is the worst player we have but he didn't force Mason to bring him on. He is a terrible player but it's not his fault he is asked to come on in a cup final and produce against one of the best teams in the world.

City are better than us all over the pitch but in recent weeks Chelsea, Leeds, Villa and Dortmund have given them good games. Why can't we? Well because we simply didn't commit to being more aggressive.

Well done we only lost by 1 and hung on until the 81st minute. Counts for fuck all.

We never had a go and that's what hurts.

We had no midfield - he benched some of our best players including Bale who's the only cunt in that entire team of bottlers that has actually won stuff - proper BMT. He played the coward wanker Winks - who spent 90 mins playing 5-yarders back to Dier like a brainless worm. Instead he played his mates and then took a giant shit on the face of THFC by putting on the gooner agent cunt Sissoko.

Looking to excuse this clown is laughable - a PE teacher who won the lotto - completely out of his depth - might as well put a cheerleader on the side and let Kane pick the team. He was a shit footballer and evidently a shitter manager. Another ENIC managerial masterstoke cause he was cheap, innit

This is what's amazing. Since Mason took over I've assumed it's basically Lloris and Kane picking the team so why the fuck haven't they told him NEVER PLAY SISSOKO AGAIN
