I disagree with this, Ten Hag has already built a reputation of being one of the best emerging managers who favors positional play, which is what’s successful in football these days. It’s no coincidence that he’s drawn interest of clubs like Juventus, Bayern or Leipzig.

Meanwhile, Potter’s only admirers are a Twitter account that keeps track of some useless xG stats and Nabil Bentaleb on this forum.
He’s drawn interest but none of those clubs have taken the gamble, because he is a gamble. I would prefer him over Potter but both are around the same level of risk.

Potter has also built a good reputation for himself, he’s a highly rated coach and given the right tools could be successful

As I say I’d prefer Ten Hag but don’t write Potter off, he’s got a horrendous squad at Brighton and has them playing good football, creating lots of chances

Spurs have lost 20pts from winning positions this season...guess who shares that stat with them ?? Brighton.

I’ve heard that a lot mate, there’s one aspect people tend to forget - how many of these teams have parked the bus against Brighton? They wouldn’t allow the same space against Tottenham and that’s where Brighton issues lie aswell. They’ve struggled to break defensive sides down, they’ve lost to Sheff Utd last week exactly because of that. Brighton’s form against bottom 3 (or 6, can’t remember) is terrible, I think they haven’t won a single game from 8.

Also I have my doubts on Potter having enough experience to handle big egos. He managed only at clubs with low expectations. How is he going to be seen in the eyes of players like Dele, Bale or Ndombele, especially if we’d hit a purple patch?

If we don't get Rodgers how would you feel about Martinez being appointed
5/10

I'd go 8/10 Rodgers, 2/10 Potter, 0/10 Parker

And if we prize away Rodgers from Leicester City, just for stevee stevee sake, I'll applaud Daniel Levy for convincing him we have enough ambition for him to switch.

Fair points yeah, is definitely a gamble. I think out of the possible targets left he’s got the most exciting future though, just my opinion

You can argue that Neil Maupay has a bigger ego than those lads combined. He's also a much bigger prick.

Just can't seem to shake Allegri to be honest. I think Levy will like him and he's within our reach right now.

Also, Simmeone from Athletico, I don't know his intentions but he's been there a long time now. He won't go Madrid or Barca, Bayern, PSG not looking. Inter won't be sacking Conte anytime soon. Chelsea, City, Liverpool, United none are looking.
Only clubs I think may be looking a manager soon could be Juventus and possibly Scum down the road so we have right now the pick of any manager currently not in a job or a manager that could be convinced to leave their current job. Maybe he would like the idea of taking on a club not expected to win things similar to how he's done with AM.

I'm dreaming now tbh

I would rather Parker than Simeone or Allegri.

Yeah, I know, am I mad?

Im sick of boring dull football, and if you watched Juventus and Atletico, you know there isn't much difference between thoose teams and the way we played under Mourinho. Just both teams had better quality.

Potter > Parker though for me but same sentiment.

At this point everything beyond Potter/Rangnick seems to be people reporting on betting markets. Parker is probably the only other actual option but he seems like the "pull here in case of emergency" scenario. There is some Allegri talk but I think he may be heading back to Italy.

At this point the greatest barrier to a manager coming in is likely Levy, not the squad or anything else. Even Potter would want to bring a couple of his scouting staff with him and give them more control than Levy is used to.
