Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Kane is my favorite spurs player ever, but I think we should sell him if we get a good offer (90+).

This team isn’t going to win in the next few years with him. Might as well buy some young talent, fill our massive areas of weakness and plan for the future.

We might be 12th next year but better off than 2-3 years of mediocrity and losing Kane for nothing.

So who are these real top strikers? If Kane hasn't done enough during his time with us to show that he's very much a top striker then I give up. Without him we'd be Crystal Palace.
so you think kanes been the main man in the real big games over the last 5 years? its just my opinion but i honestly watch the real big games and look at kane and feel he really isnt leaving everything on the pitch

He's played in a rather ordinary Spurs side more often than not. Of course he's had games where he's not been at his best against the better clubs. Just the same as 95% of other top strikers. Put him in a better team with better players around him, a side like Man City or United, and simple logic suggests he will score in big games more frequently.

Along with Son, another who's time at the club just might be coming to a sad end, he's one of our two world-class players.

Call me an idiot, but the dude needs to stop dropping deep all the time. He has always floated, but he no longer occupies CBs as much as he did.

If he were to leave, I want him to go to City. We are not catching up with them until we fully rebuild and he might as well get the scoring title with some trophies.

maybe. however if both was truly world class then we wouldnt be in the position we are in. if youve got two world class forwards you would be top 4 without question

Why don't we have another striker to play alongside him or behind him. Or instead of him occassionally? What was the point of Vinicius other than when Kane is injured he's never going to play.

The problem is not Kane himself. It's the fact we've spent the last few years with zero alternative to him and our entire set-up is to allow him to score goals.

We are most definitely 'The Harry Kane Team'

If people are saying sell Kane because his stock might dip then fine.

If it's sell him because we are so average please fcuk off because you ain't Spurs fans.

The harsh truth is that as very good as he is and in pursuit of his records he has failed to notch a goal in the last two games.

He is a Spurs player until he isn't. I would worry more about getting rid of the dross.

Not at all. Our squad is nowhere near that of those who will finish in the top 4. Our defence and midfield are bottom half material so it doesn't really matter how good Kane and Son are. Without one of them I dread to think where we would be. Without both of them, we'd be fooked.

We're going to bring in the most underwhelming replacement if he's sold this summer.
We don't need a replacement, we need a system that allows other good players to play alongside or with him.

Replacing him with another player is pointless. You won't get anyone as good and if you do, you'll have the exact same problem we have now. We're too reliant on him, that's the real issue.

You do need a replacement forward if you sell your best forward. I know what you mean though, and agree, but that's down to what coach we appoint.

well you must be very lenient with what you consider world class. because imo having two world class forwards in a team should be top 4 minimum, especially when there's only one truly great side in the entire league.

Definitely. He's not going anywhere IMO because of the contract/finances. But, hypothetically, selling him would send out all the wrong messages and any money received would be mis-spent and half of which would be required to 'replace' him which, quite frankly, can't be done.

Why? As I've already said, the likes of City, Chelsea, United and even Liverpool have far better squads than we do. Liverpool had prime Gerrard and Torres some years back who were among the best players in the world but they still got nowhere in the Premier League in regards to the title, and often had to scrape into the top 4.

If you're suggesting that Kane and Son aren't world-class, and based on the fact we're missing out on a top 4 place, then you need your head examining.
