Something about potter he just seems a timid guy. Will it be another season going to places like anfield, stamford bridge and gooners just rolling over? Not sure a billion pound stadium warrants a risk manager. Need a manager with guts and them being fearful of us. Had that under poch but in an intelligent way.
I think he's already won at 2 of those 3, and got a draw at the other

inc doing the double over Goons, something I can't remember doing since El Tel was manager, and the goons had a cup final to prepare for and we both played some of the kids

Whinger was hardly a tub thumping John Terry type. Getting all shouty with pros earning 200K a week doesn't always end well.

Dont get me wrong hes a good coach rodgers but he seems to like to be a tin god. Exaggerating celtics success in a pub league and the pressure cooker isnt too fierce at leicester.

Yeah I’m just not convinced by him. Or potter for that matter. I think it would be a terrible idea to bring Poch back but if he gets sacked by PSG I wouldn’t be surprised if we do. Sure there’s disadvantages but there are with every other appointment.

I remember when people on here thought we were too good for Simeone and Tuchel

I don’t know half of them names in the list, or their brand of football.
What I do know though is that our problems are beyond just a new manager.

SAF is the only person I’d imagine could walk through the door and shift every single player he didn’t want within a week, and make the rest too scared to play shit

So who do you suggest. a couple of names?
If it aint broke dont fix it. But levy thought it was broke so tried to fix it with mourinho as thought poch had been their 6 years and won nothing. Not the fact we didnt have a stadium and poch had no money to spend for 18 months. Levy didnt want to give poch money to spend and remember that frustrating press conference poch had ahead of audi cup in munich. He was pissed off with levy. Id have poch back. It wasnt broke when poch was there. Poch, flick or rodgers for me. Martinez, southgate and potter all have an element of risk.

He doesn't seem like the galvanizing personality our dressing room seems to need, but in fairness to him he does not play timid football.

Where Chris Hughton sealed everything up and prayed to avoid the drop, Potter correctly realizes that you need to put PL opponents under pressure to keep them from battering you.

He's had mixed success at best and Pep Guardiola he ain't, but he would not be bunkering with our squad at Anfield when he's not bunkering with his current squad there.

You don't think that Flick or Brenton has risk?

Flick has had success at Bayern and nowhere else. Can he transition to the PL? Can he do it when he doesn't have the massive talent advantage of Bayern?

Brenton has constantly bottled almost every team he has been involved with. He has got Leicester to about where you would expect with the talent they have but has shown no indication that he makes teams better than the talent they have. They lost when to a weak side in the EL, dropped out of CL spots last year with a massive lead and this year look likely to do it again and relying on teams around them to save them from their own terrible slip up.
