Potter does equal Poch to me. Similar history in management. Similar philosophy by the looks of things.

I’d love to see Conte here, but think Levy would rather cut his cock off. Can you imagine the moaning Conte has about needing investment in the squad and the effect that would have in Levy’s blood pressure?

Conte is truly an exceptional manager but a nutcase and him and Levy would explode. Unfortunately we need a manager for the longer term, we aren’t a money club and will have to rebuild at a slower pace due to finances. Potter’s football is slightly more Pep style than Bielsa (who Poch models on) but I do like watching Brighton.

If we had £1bn I would love Conte, we don’t.

Rogers: won’t take it and why should he, also prone to Spursy collapses so imagine him here.

Ten Hag: looks to be staying at Ajax

Benitez: boring and after Jose Spurs fans won’t accept boring football.

Conte: the idea of him and Levy working, that would explode.

Allegri: unproven outside Italy and been out the game for a while.

Tuchel and Nagelsmann where the outstanding candidates but one is with Chelsea and the other gone Bayern. Potter plays good football and gets a lot out of very shit players, decent football for cheap, fits The limitations of the club. It’s an attempt for a new Poch.

I think of those only Conte and Allegri shout "we mean business" and would convince Kane and Son etc that it's worth staying here to fight for something

I appreciate what you say about Allegri, but the same could be said for Conte prior to him coming to England and doing so well.

For me these two and Lopeteugi are the only ones that really excite me.

Aye. It’d be good fun though.

This thread is the definition of deja vu.

Every day the same comments are written. It's like being in an old people's home where everyone has dementia.

Nothing is going to happen for another 3 weeks at least. But this thread will get up 1000 pages...

So let's have a sweepstake. What page will this thread get to when the manager is announced?

I'm going 683 (as soon as England get knocked out the Euros)
I'll have 999;)

Bielsa would be a disaster. Leeds get credit for being so 'kamikaze like' with their football, but if that was any other team they'd be getting pelters for the style of play.

With Leeds, and Bielsa's style, it's never a certain that you'd win. They concede as many as they score, and always seem to be opened up.
I'm a Leeds fan just wanted to respond to this because i think obviously people who don't watch us every week look at our goals for and against column and conclude we are a defensive disaster.

We have suffered a huge amount injury wise this season and that has played a large part in our goals conceded.

For example we conceded 4 vs Woolwich, because of injuries we had a 21 year old midfielder as right back, a right back at centre back and 21 year old centre back at defensive midfield.

When you beat us 3-0 again we had a right back at centre back with the 21 year old centre back who was at defensive midfield vs Woolwich now at cb.

What opposition fans wont know is that the two defenders we spent big on have missed more than 15 games each.

Kalvin Philips is in double figures for games missed.

Our Captain Liam Cooper is also in double figures for games missed.

Because we arent Liverpool this doesnt get mentioned but we are right up there for games missed in total with multiple players (including Rodrigo Moreno) well into double figures for games missed.

These injuries play a large part in our goals against column and create this narrative that Bielsa's teams cant defend (despite having the best defence in the league last season and top 2 or 3 the season before).

Actually our defensive performance is much improved since we started to get players back.

Over the last 20 games we have the 7th best defence.

Ahead of you, West ham and Leicester for example.

And over the last 11 games since Diego Llorente has been fit enough to start we have conceded only 11 goals which os the same as Man City.

I understand why people feel like Bielsa teams cant defend but it's plainly not true, we have actually had a pretty solid defence for most of the season and likely would be one of the top 7 or 8 best defences without the injuries we have had.

Just wanted to say that.

On you and MB he would never work for Levy so no starter i suspect.

It’s just common for some Spurs fans to peep the stats and start talking jibberish about something they have no idea.

I would like to add to what you said that, with all due respect, you’ve still got a lot of Championship players in your line-up, for example it wasn’t long ago Cooper played at a League One club before he came to Leeds?

I don’t think Bielsa would work at Spurs but I’m glad to see him doing well at a football club. People have this idea that he’s a nothing manager because he hasn’t won major trophies.

Where have we heard that before............

Pretty accurate...makes you wonder why we didn't let Mourinho finish the season?
