I think we miss the point at times, including me.
What do we actually mean by the necessary funds? When is it actually enough?
I mean Chelsea spent an absolute fortune relative to all other teams last season, and from a more than decent base. They had to rely on us to secure top 4.
We need to be in a position and able to buy 4 or 5 players but it's as much the added value a manager/coach can incorporate as much as just talking about expenditure.
We had 2/3 reason a of challenging and for 2 years were arguably the best all round team and nada, and that was without insane outlay.

I agree with this. The only reason,and it's very very doubtful is he truly realised how much he fucked up with the fans over the ESL,and with the team,by not getting in the quality needed. Maybe,just maybe with the super League bollo AND Kane making waves he is thinking differently.

Probably the “surprise” candidate we’ve been hearing about. I still don’t think he and Levy will come to an agreement.
So I am mostly in agreement with this but we also need a hard hand or we are going to see more nonsense and lack of performance.
It is a fine balancing act but it would be nice to be able to find a manager of quality as opposed to recycling our rival's cast-offs

I can see your point of view, and the comparison between Conte / Mou. I posted elsewhere that from what I have seen Levy and Conte would be untenable.
