because they win these games mate. How many times do chelsea win these big trophies ? Someone already pointed out, they don’t go anymore than 2 seasons without a major trophy. They win champions leagues. They win titles. You can disagree all you want son, but you were on here last week saying how City would smash them. I’ll go back and Grab the quote if you like ? Just admit you were wrong. Chelsea were miles the better team. Not because City were shite but because Chelsea were excellent, end of story

Yes go grab the quote where I said they would smash them. I said that City were the favorites and that Chelsea would need luck to beat them, they got that luck when City decided not to show up.

Again if Chelsea are such winners why did they lose in the FA Cup final? Why did they lose to Villa in the last game of the season? Where was their winners mentality then?

Chelsea sacked their manager at a decisive point in the season, finished top 4 and are currently 1-0 up in a CL final. We sacked a manager days before a cup final, lost it, stumbled into the conference and still haven’t hired a replacement.
that and their huge spend in the summer.

we are light years behind Chelsea, for starters ENIC have zero ambition to win trophies, and even if they had the ambition they can't compete with Roman.

Wow. Chelsea completely nullified City. Tuchel made Guardiola look like Villas-Boas!

Kante was unreal. Rudiger a monster. From an Englishman perspective, I also thought Reece James was outstanding, and Chilwell not too far behind, which bolds well for England next month. Foden just couldn't get into it but his time will surely come. Guardiola killed him by playing him down the middle in the first half. Mount was Mount, terrific player in every sense.

Good game of football all in all and wouldn't have minded extra-time.
Good game of football?
Thought it sucked. Un-exciting 1-0 with Chelsea being on the winning end.

To be precise: Roman (18 years) v Levy (20 years)

League titles 5-0
FA cups 5-0
League cups 3-1
Champions leagues 2-0
UFEA cup 2-0

Final score 17-1

That would be true if all trophies were of equal value. But an fa cup is probably worth twice as much as a league cup. A uefa cup twice as much as an fa cup. A PL twice as much as a uefa cup and finally the CL twice as much as a PL. So final score would really be 100-1 or something.

I agree. But would take this manager. That's what I'm saying. He would have got something out of our season and perfect for the rebuild.....
We all want to get the best manager of our opinion. But in real life, if Brendan Rodgers can tell Levy to go away, then we have no chance to get the likes of Tuchel whose stock is high, and another well known demanding manager with club transfer dealings.

My problem with City is that they get the ball into the box and then starting trying flicks and wee passes and I think the false 9 encourages that. Put the fucking lasses through it, it's a Champions League final ffs.
That's where a traditional striker is needed. Midfielders don't have instinct to find a gap and shoot. They need a striker with play making ability if Pep just wants maintain both midfield overcrowding tactic and goal scoring potent.

This type of forward sounds familiar?

:sonhmm:
