Germany are matched up with a 343

-------Havertz -- Werner -- Muller
Gosens --- Kroos --- Goretzka --- Kimmich
-----Rudiger ----- Hummels ----- Ginter
-------------------Neuer
That midfield 4 on paper wanks all over ours.

Defence and attack are closer in levels though so but i don't fancy our midfield 4 against theirs at all.

Listening to the German players on TV and the German fans around Wembley...... They are confident that they're going to nail us.

The difference between them and us is that we're totally desperate of some kind of success....... Massive pressure.

They won't be as nervous because they know they'll be back up there in the next tournament or the next or the next..... They're not as desperate for success as we are.

The pressure is totally on us

That line up will not see enough of the ball in midfield. Crazy how he bet the farm on mount and now has bottled it.

We're a counter attacking team, we don't need to have more of the ball than the opposition. We can match Germany up top but everywhere else they are probably superior, so matching up to them man for man would be a terrible idea. Go back to our best win for a long time a couple of years ago away to Spain, in a game we went 3-0 up, and I don't think we had more than 30% possession in that game. But in the first half we killed them on the counter. We can do the same today with Saka and Sterling. Walker is in to try and deal with Gnabry.

Kane getting fuck all service is a worry. He's got 2 ball hoggers next to him Saka and Sterling as well. They need to get their heads up and play him in if possible or he's going to struggle to get much of the ball.

Kane will hopefully do what he often does for Spurs, and drop deep and try to find Sterling and Saka in behind. Doesn't matter if Kane isn't scoring if he's pulling the strings and creating for others. He can still be a threat from set-pieces if we can actually deliver some of decent quality this game.

They're doing a great analysis on BBC about how to compete with Germany.... Using France and Hungary as examples....

Southgate has done exactly the opposite.
