This is an article in sport.es which basically says that Koeman has decided against signing Romero and Sanches.
The reason for not wanting to sign Romero was that he felt a new CB was not a priority as Barca is well covered there at CB (Eric Garcia, Pique, Mingueza, Aruaju + Umtiti, Lenglet).

PS! Yes, I am well aware of Barca's financial difficulties and that may also be a factor in not wanting Romero. Anyway, it looks as if the Barca interested in Romero was false.

Likewise, I have decided against shagging Jennifer Lawrence and Kaley Cuoco, it's simply not a priority for me...

£3m for a clapped out 32 year old is about right, sadly. If we had better offers from better clubs, he wouldn’t be in Qatar right now.

Being the “best CB” at Tottenham is not meaningful when they were all so bad last season.
It's amazing isn't it?

As soon as someone leaves us, suddenly they become world beaters and we're ''selling our best players''.

But the same posters were seen in match thread after match thread last season slagging said players off all game.

It didn't matter that Dembele could hardly run anymore and made a handful of appearances the season before he left, as soon as he was sold we'd sold our saviour. Despite the fact he himself said he didn't have Premier League football in him anymore.

Toby was/is/always will be a class above what we have left.
Fact remains he was our best CB and now he's gone, all we have are error prone stooges.

Toby wasn't generally the one catching flack, it was almost always Dier and Sanchez who were often paired together to amplify the insanity.
Pairing 1 with Toby makes them better. Paired together it makes both worse.

Being better than shit doesn't mean anything in the scheme of things. He was on a steady downward curve all through last season.

We're buying a better CB to replace him and I'd like to see us put faith in Tanganga at CB as he is far better than Dier and Sanchez.

Rodon must be ahead of Tanganga surely, he was steady in the games he played last season (Liverpool error apart) was good for Wales in the Euros and just to me appears to be further down the development line than Japhet.
