I still think it is more likely than not that we get him but I don't sense that Atalanta has to sell this year or that Romero would feel that he has to put pressure on to get a move to us.

From Gold's article this morning it's looked like they've changed strategy.

Toby Foyth already sold, Tanganga out on loan, Aurier to be sold.
Replaced by Milenkovic, Tomiyasu, Zouma.

Lots of strength in depth at CB with Rodon, Sanchez, Dier, Milenkovic, Zouma.

So signing second rate cb and keeping tweedle Dee and tweedle dumb will sort out our defensive problems.

I certainly feel it’s less likely now than ever but to me it still makes way too much sense for us.

Guys like Zouma, Milenkovic and Tomiyasu aren’t close to good enough. Zouma to pair with Romero and Tomiyasu as a back-up or RCB in a back 3 sure, but we need a top CB and none of those guys come close.

Now it’s Levy and he has missed on a lot of clear cut needs in the past so anything is possible but this would be the biggest flub yet in terms of clear need, talent of the player and availability. Also if you throw in the alternatives there is no other option.

It's a case of if Atalanta want the money, i mean they could lose him next season back to Juve who could then sell him to Spurs for less but still make money.

he Spanish Government/ Local Governments in Spain will not get away with doing those tricks again they almost killed off half the La Liga by all the revenue going to Barcelona and Real that is why they brought in such strict FFP rules.

All he does like most 'itk's' now is just round things up that are already in the press and put their 'i knew about this but couldn't say' gloss on it. I used to be on the From the Lane forum and there were a couple on there that 100% used to get bits and give you names not already out there in the media. No bullshit or cryptic clues. Its such a load of bollocks now, just attention seeking.

I am no Spanish politics expert so maybe they have finally changed, but going off their past actions I will wait to see them actually back it up before believing it.
