Yes
He's like a better footballing Michael Dawson.
I always liked Mick. Not our best ever player but he loved the club. He's like a better footballing Michael Dawson.
I'd bite your hand off for Michael Dawson right now.
Blame FIFA./UEFA for imposing a ridiculous international timetable on everyone which drops players back to clubs only a week before PL starts without a pre-seasonThere are 9 league points to play for before the window shuts. Then just after the window shuts there's the 2 week international break. By that time we are looking at mid September before these new signings are potentially even training with the club. It's simply not good enough.
Seeing training photos today of Aurier, Winks and Dier....good times. Sissoko and Sanchez to be seen soon.Fucking shambles of a transfer window thus far. We're bloody weaker than last season, and none of the real dross has left!
So you have classed him in the VvD/Dias bracket. If that is the bracket he is in, then I agree. But how sure are you that that is the case? Have you really analyzed him that well and compared all his strengths and weaknesses to other top class CBs? Or are you just assuming he's that good?
And yes, you are correct that if he's a VvD or a Dias no one will give a shit if we paid 50 or 60 for him. But if he's shit, a whole lot of people will be moaning we spent 45 million for a dud and we should have gotten Player X instead for 30, who turned out to be a star.
If we were 100% sure that this guy would transform our defense, then I don't think we would be that cautious. It's the fact that we might spend 60 million on a guy that could only turn out to be "fine starting for us" that is giving us pause from ponying up what Atalanta is asking.
I disagree with the 'we can't afford'There may be a month left but no one other than cuntstain Levy wants it going on a month.
Player and Nuno will want it done ASAP so they get get ready for the season.
Atalanta will want it done ASAP so they can use the funds to replace him before their season kicks off.
Whoever they want to replace him will have a club that wants to sort their defence out.
But baldilocks will be sitting in his office telling everyone to wait it out, as eventually, Atalanta will get desperate.
Such a bellend.
In that time the player will get the hump and either sign for someone else or sign a new deal at Atalanta.
The our so called ITK crowd will say "we tried but it was too difficult"
Rough translation is and will always be "we waste time on players we can't afford"
...
NONE of these have been replaced and its 2 weeks before the season starts.
This is just not good enough
You don't rate Milenkovic but would spend 35 mill on Demiral? He had a shocking Euros, has had a serious knee injury iirc. Not sure about that tbhNo mate we really don't want Milenkovic I've watched closely he is a complete dud.
Vlahovic Lamptey/Aarons Romero Demiral
I’ve been told next week will be a big week for Spurs!Everyone chill, Don Fab has got this.

Milenkovic Wednesday.
It should start getting real on Monday when all the players will be back.
And so was last week supposed to be as well...
I really don't believe in the Nuno wants this and that player. All articles I have read about Nuno says that he is the type of coach who isn't very involved in the recruitment process. Not at all keen. really poor end product, lacking in goals and assists. constant shoulder injuries.
A poor man's Aaron Lennon.
I was just talking theoretical, mate. But even if you want to take it literally, between Dier & Sanchez and Romero there are a number of CBs that we could go after. Kounde was one of them, but we couldn't agree terms with the player. There may even be others that are in the works that we have no clue of (and if the rumors about Paratici having 10 targets for each position are true, there probably are). It's not like this hasn't happened before. Let's just wait and see what happens, eh? Even if we had signed Romero last week, he wouldn't have reported in until next week anyhow, so stop the melting.Ok mate...what's the alternative. Dier and Sanchez? Do me a favour.
