Personally i think the jury is out on rodon. The united home game caused a red flag for me. Not sure hes our level. Same applies to doherty.

He's just twenty three, had a superb Euro's where he played every game.

If you think about it no one played well in that United game, and if you can only pick out that one game then that's to be expected from a young player.

Certainly a very good prospect for us, and if Dier ends up staying i know which of the two I'd sooner see at centre back for us.

Again I would direct you to the Mourinho example, there is nothing in the game he hasn't done but yet his judgement was questioned from start to finish by people on here, most of the time correctly as it turned out. The judgement of the DOFs and previous managers we have employed have been wrong time and time again, Levy's own judgement has been wrong time and time again, anyone can be wrong.

Anyone can be wrong.... It's not an exact science, but 'a few bods on TFC' > Parattici remains flawed logic.

Like I said before, substandard players lead to mistakes being repeated, I've explained that the list should be of a similar standard all the way through it's not. It's not shoehorning Levy, he has ultimate control and interfered previously with DOFs.

Again; that has nothing to do with what we started out discussing; i.e. Our new DOFs judgement.

Levy has ultimate accountability with regard to club operations. Not denied; but not relevant.

I think we're done here, mate.

According to Paul O Keefe

The actual issue is the bid we made wasn't good enough. Right price but seems to be an issue with the way installments are paid or they want a little more.

Either way we are very close and it wouldn't make sense if we pulled out this close when he is such a great defender. Pay the little extra or make the structure of deal a bit better.

Atlanta agree all terms, Romero agrees all terms ..... Spurs agree all terms.

Then Atlanta decide to hold the deal until they have signed a replacement .....

So somehow that's all Levy's fault? (he's not even doing the negotiating)

Some people's blind hatred for our club, or maybe it's just sheer stupidity, goes beyond any sane reasoning, but I guess haters gotta hate (and disagree ;) )

This x 100

Levy may have a lot of faults, but if some in here actually fucking read posts from reliable sports journalists on the current situation it is quite clear where the issue is.

No doubt Romero will be coming to Spurs, but possibly a few days later than the club expected. Amazing how this could be in any way misunderstood?

That said blind hate often overshadows the truth with some people.

" Tottenham and Atalanta already have an agreement on the purchase figure for Cuti Romero (€ 50M + 5 in bonus) However, the operation will not be signed yet because the Besides Lovato they try to sign Demiral and release him there The Argentine has his contract arranged with the Spurs until 2026"

This is painfully boring at this point..... But I'm hooked!!! :dier:

It's like being addicted to drying paint.

Maybe Eriksen taught him a lesson. That hanging on for more money left him with a totally disinterested player who added absolutely nothing to the team for 6 months and then left for next to nothing.
Yes, let's do THAT again.

It might have been best for everyone to have sold Eriksen one or two years earlier.

But virtually every fan would have been shouting at Levy 'Why sell one of our best players ?' You are only at Spurs for the money' or similar

So its actually a 'no win' scenario for Levy

As big a problem, given Spurs pretty abysmal judgement in buying footballers from 2015 onwards - paying good fees for Sissoko (when in same Window we could have bought Grealish, Maddison and Brooks for same money - but Poch wanted a ready made player not one to train up), Aurier (instead of Perreira) and Poch preferred Lo Celso to Bruno Fernandes .......... and very few good choices. So had we sold Eriksen for a large fee, I'm none to sure we would be better off now - we should have been but if we had bought badly again ?.

Basically there are two sides of the story.

Either this ^ - So Spurs are close to what Atalanta what but not there yet

Or what I thought was the case this morning :

That Atalanta are happy with Spurs but want a replacement first

Idk which is correct tbh.

Now people are suggesting a new bid of 50 mil + bonuses was made

That should be enough. That's their asking price/close enough. Let's see.

hope Atalanta are not spending the money as Levy is bound to say " get stuffed 50M, its 35M now because you mucked me about" once they spend the money they haven't got yet

He said he suspects

It's his opinion, and he's quite entitled to express it.

Worth reading peoples posts before jumping in all over them, mate.
LOL the irony.

Any negative opinion on Levy you'll post as a fact even if the report says he's not involved or it's nothing to do with him! haha! but yet it's everyone else who's having the wool pulled over their eyes.

Not sure about Tomiyasu as an orthodox right back. To me it seems his best position would be as a RCB in a back 3. Very powerful player but not sure what his crossing/end product would be like as a normal right back.

Power in the prem at RB expected to maraud = burnt out player in 2-3 seasons, unless exceptional physiology and recovery/nutrition.

Haven't watched him any, but suspect you to be right for his mid-term quality, especially long term. Don't get heavy frames running a lot is a good idea (Kyle Walker has been morphed into someone by Pep who clearly keeps his sprints down to 5-6 max per half, Poch seemed more to be the run to the ground coach and let science deal with the mechanical failings which ensue).
