I know not strictly spurs related, but do you rate Rice? If United buy him, would he improve their midfield?

I'm unconvinced by his euros performances, but West Ham fans seem to think he's £50m+

Worst thing is that I should just steer clear of social media etc when the Kane move finally happens, but I know I'll be too morbidly curious not to watch his Man City TV (or whatever it's called) interview.

Terrific player and exactly what United needs.

He’s even more what Woolwich needs, thank god we live in a world where the Spam don’t have to sell to them.

Really good, mobile, classy on the ball true DM’s are one of the absolute best things to have. Spend any amount of money putting a Claude Makelele in your team, and Rice has many of those attributes and may yet continue improving.

With him being english and his age he's easily worth 50m in todays market. Think Rice will be a top player in the next few years.

Ok Fab. Time to start spending.

I don't know the details yet just know it's close. Expected to be completed today/tomorrow.

A few more bits coming in drips and drabs...

Kane being awkward since his return. Don't buy into his didn't want to hurt fans bs. All he wants is to go.

Nuno wants him out.

Fab wants the money asap.

We could miss out on targets if we delay too long.

City still not met the price, but are getting close.

Might not be completed by weekend but very likely agreed by all parties.

I am not an ITK hater but this guy will be a dead parrot if we don't sell Kane.
IMO Kane will sign a new contract.

Rice is a very good player.
But he is world class?
He didn't turn up in the Euro final. If he had we would have won.
Big games the guy just doesn't show up. 😁

It’s interesting that Nuno wants him out.

On the one hand that’s crazy but on the other you can certainly see how a manager that emphasizes togetherness and culture the way Nuno does would be hesitant to have a wantaway superstar in his dressing room.

He’d also surely have a big voice in the spending of all that money which probably appeals to him.

I know you didn’t ask me, but thought I’d chip in.

I think he’s very good, but in a very narrow capacity. His work off the ball is impressive but I don’t really see someone who excels at moving the ball forward. That said, it might be exactly what UTD need, although I don’t pay too much attention to them.

Well, yeah, he'd improve them I guess. Better than Fred/McTominay, though Fred can be quite good on his day. He's young, don't think he has world class potential or anything like that. Was very impressed with him in some games for West Ham last year, but mostly against the big teams in games where WH had less of the ball and he'd make a few strong runs, tackle hard and be tidy in possession. Had a few good games at the Euros.. but England were ultimately a pretty dull team due to playing both Rice and Phillips. What'll he be like in a possession dominant side with Pogba, Bruno either side of him? Not sure, he's not super quick at moving the ball, but he's very good defensively. A lot to expect of him slotting in as a 6 for Manchester United in a 4-3-3 this season. Overall, I think he'd probably be a good enough signing. At his age, and HG and a good quality player WH have every right to ask for a high fee, but he's no world beater. There's probably a different direction for them to go in if they want a title challenge this year.
