Problem with Son is that he's the best player on the pitch 40% of the matches he plays in, 30% he's good and 30% he's atrocious. Case in point - there was a span of (12 games?) where he had 1 goal or something like that last season. If he turned those anonymous performances into good/decent ones he'd be the best winger in the game.
That said, we're extremely lucky to have him. I personally think he's been the most important player over the last 3 years. Only player that can grab the game by the scruff of the neck and win it for us. It's no coincidence that when he scores/plays well, we usually win. When he's off, we usually underperform.

Kane's playmaking/assists last season was a fluke. Actually it was more like 1/3 of a season when Son's finishing was off the charts and when defenses didn't adjust to our Kane/Son tactic. Before last season Kane's averaged like 3 premier league assists a season.

It wasn't like he was making a one yard pass for Son to then run through the whole team. If you can't recognize the quality of the majority of those passes from Kane then your hatred for him is even more pathetic than I thought.

Kane has always been a good passer, but last season Mourinho got him into the number 10 position more than normal, which worked brilliantly with Son running in behind. So I think the tactics worked for Kane re. assisting last season.

Hardly a fluke, for crying out loud. And know you don't like him much, even last season. But you don't fluke so many assists.
Kane can produce moments of quality with his passing that Son or any other of our current players can only dream of.
Kane probably then should have passed a few more all these years. Should you not be at Kanes thread? Baby Kane is probably lost and hurting in need your soothing posts. Why are you here after Son doing something honorable which is rare to find in today's football

I have been very consistent saying the same thing forever here. Kane is great but should be less selfish and play more for the teams victory than his pursuit of golden boot. He just happened to finally turn around last year and did lots of asset like I knew he could always all these years.

Simon Jordan, on the other hand, sees the situation differently and believes that Son signing a new deal shows that Tottenham are not set for a mass exodus of its biggest stars in the event of Kane leaving.
