Honestly if people think it’s shit I have no problem with that. It means they won’t be wanting a ticket if we get to the final and gives those that do care a chance.
Personally having seen very little in the way of trophies since I started supporting the club in the mid-eighties I would be very happy to see us win this. I also see the bigger picture in it though with it being a tournament that allows us to give our squad players match time and integrate the youngsters to the first team where the opponent may not be as challenging.
Ultimately it doesn’t matter whether the fans want us to win, it just matters that the players on the field want to win. Winning breeds a winners mentality and if we did actually win it would be a huge boost for the lads and get a monkey off their backs.

I hate to say it about any tournament, but can only agree. It's a shameless cash grab by UEFA. We should use it for under 23s or match fitness for fringe players for as long as we're still in it. Happily go along and watch a game but can't get too excited about it
My gut says this is going to be a long season, and possibly have some disruption still with covid. All that matters is that we get in the top 4 positions which is difficult enough to do as it is . Everything else is a distraction. Just look at Woolwich - they might well have won a few domestic cups in the last few years , but every season out of the champs league they go backwards.
