Who has said Ndombele is the best player on the squad other than maybe the guy that has the user ID Ndombadboy? What does that have to do with anything?
Players are saying the same about Ndombele. That's been a huge asset so far huh
Kane and Son keep scoring with Lucas and Bergwin in the team and they have very very little endproduct(lucas) to no end product(berg) too. But at least Traore would get the ball to Kane and Son much more often as hes much better at carrying the ball forward. All the opposition would have to do is mark Kane and Son out of the game and we wont score. Let Traore have fun with the ball because everyone knows there is no end product. Game over.
Dembele did a job in centre mid to protect the back four and when he had the ball to drive forward. Traore has to offer more because of the area he plays in.
It's weird. Imagine if things don't go well for Nuno and Levy sacks him and then goes back to employing a manager who believes in possession based football. The squad will be unsuitable. Why do we keep buying the same type of player? Is there a law against bringing some decent ball players to this club? Not everyone in the squad has to be a runner for fucks sake.
I think Son would benefit yugely from Traore because he has the pace to keep up with himKane and Son keep scoring with Lucas and Bergwin in the team and they have very very little endproduct(lucas) to no end product(berg) too. Hallelujah. When we've been at our best over the last 15/16 years its when we've had a classy footballer as the fulcrum of the team Carrick, Modric, Eriksen. When we haven't had a player like that that makes us tick we just hope we stumble across a freak to get us points be it Bale, Kane or to a lesser extent Berbatov. We need footballers, we have plenty of workhorses and runners. Why do we keep buying the same type of player? Is there a law against bringing some decent ball players to this club? I’m a bit torn. On one hand, the havoc he would create would open a lot of space for Son and Kane, and also make life easier the midfielders. On the other, you’d want more end product to justify a large fee. I want to say that they should back Nuno if he really believes in the player. I’m just not convinced.

We’ve got players with end product, not sure why there is such an outcry about the lack of goals. If he’s Kane replacement then let’s get the pitchforks out but surely that’s not his roleI’m a bit torn. He’s never gonna be a finisher, forget that…… he might give them the ball earlier thoPretty much my thoughts. Having a bulldozer to occupy defenders and free up others is fine but for £40m I expect substantial goal output from a forward.
If we sign him let’s just hope that training with Kane and Son will help him improve his finishing.
We can’t be spending £40MIf we brought him in as a RWB that might make it more understandable as it would solve our need for a RB and RW. If we then brought in Tomiyasu, who I am not sold on but like a lot more in a back 3 to play as the LCB or RCB in the back 3, I think that makes a lot more sense then bringing in Traore to play as a RW in a 4-3-3. He is a marginal upgrade on Lucas and if we make no significant upgrade in MF that means we have so many players in our squad that are poor passers/creators. The team becomes so limited it what it can do.
I do think that part of Nuno coming in involved him/Paratici convinces Levy we would play more like his Valencia team with a back 4, but I think this works with the reports that Nuno wants a front 2 and is the best option we have with the likely (lack of) transfers we would make.
Going with something like:
Tomiyasu-Romero-TangangaWe still have major creative issues but with Traoare and Reguilon out wide we could really stretch teams and cause trouble for them. That width would give us another offensive creation possibility outside of hope and pray for Kane and Son.
Regulion-PEH-Skipp/New MF-GLC-Adama
Son-Kane
Tldr; I just wasted time pushing for a 3-5-2 that will never happen.
At the rate Traore takes the ball forward, if Kane wants to be there to get the cross he had better start now.Kane and Son keep scoring with Lucas and Bergwin in the team and they have very very little endproduct(lucas) to no end product(berg) too. If under Nuno he didn't improve in 3 years at wolves, how is the same Nuno suddenly gonna improve himI’m a bit torn. Funny. At least Kane wont be standing around waiting for the ball that never gets passed to him. He can stay up top while the bulldozer brings the ball to him.At the rate Traore takes the ball forward, if Kane wants to be there to get the cross he had better start now.
We would probably need two or three new midfielders to play like that. And probably new CBs who are better on the ball.Yeah but I want us to play progressive passing football. Not hoof the ball wide and run football…
It is one of the more startling physical transformations i've seen in a footballer. Does make you wonder if he had some 'assistance'.
