That's basically the reason we bought Lamela and Sissoko for then club record fees.

So that we could give Lamela 2 contracts to use him in a swap deal 8 years later.

Oh, and make Sissoko one of our highest paid players - twice - only to flog him, what, 4-5 years down the line for just below 10% of what we paid ...

... and all of it still being promoted as proof that this is in fact a good transfer window since we cut some players we didn't want.

Sadly I'm already saying let's hope we fix our mistakes in the January window.

Why is this my mentality. What have the club done to me and other fans. Why can't the club just do well in the window.
 
Everyone thinking its brilliant now 3 wins out of 3. Wait until we play those midweek games and players start getting injured for 4 or 5 weeks couple of injuries to key players will change the whole outcome on this forum we are about 3 players short at least and one is a back up striker.

Let's play him out of position against a bunch of hatchet men and nobodies in pointless tournaments, because risking the fitness of our best winger sure makes more sense than buying or loaning a modest senior striker.

Cant believe the whinging on here. I really cant. Were top of the league, gooners are bottom and we kept kane. Weve just come out of a pandemic so have to be realistic with the financial climate. Weve bought defenders to shore up back line. I think were in good health. The slating of winks is boring now. Hes spurs through and through and a decent squad player Try being a fan under christian gross as boss. That was desperate times.

To be clear this is what I'd do, but I don't think those are pointless tournaments at all, and regardless it would still leave us badly short of cover all over the front line.

Also what worries me is that I reckon so many in the club used the 3 1-0's as an excuse. To say. Oh we don't need a new CB. Those 2 at the back are solid. We don't need an attacker. We are winning like this. I feel this is the awful mentality that is rotting our club.

It seems the club have to lose to wake up. Just like they signed Bale/Regi after we lost 1-0 everton on the opening day last season.

I feel so dissapointed today.

Nah we don't have to its ok we've got a 17yr old who'll be able to lead the line against anyone and everyone.

Seriously Paratici I blame for this. There were so many opportunities to get a ST. Heck I would've even taking Vinicius back.
