Keep living in that dream world, even Potter doesn't want to come to Spurs :D

You know as well as I do we barely made a move and when asked if he'd take it, he did the decent thing by his employers.

Despite the lies from the top, we're wealthy enough to tempt coaches of that level out of their clubs but we have to show real intent.

Just to point out though, that 11 minutes in, a now bearded Potter is seeing his team played off the pitch by Vieras Palace

The tactics were wank this team whilst not a title winning one should be a lot better than what they are producing they don't appear to have bought into the new manager.
They're shit. They were shit for Poch. They were shit for Mourinho and they're shit for Nuno.

New coach. Was never good enough.
New squad. Been in tatters for 3 years.
New chairman. Holding us back for 2 decades despite the odd blip.

Only way to see change.

I don’t think that’s the case anymore. He’s a smart guy, probably very wealthy too and operating in a cohesive structure where everyone is pulling together. The days are gone when doubling someone’s salary tempts them to jump ship. I don’t think he will want it for a number of reasons, Levy being reason #1.

Either way, you can bet Brighton have a contingency plan if he does go.

I just think nuno wants quality time to coach team but the games have come thick and fast for him to implement his methods. Going to be a delicate atmosphere sunday and easy team talk for dean smith. Basically score first and get the crowd to turn against us.

He's also certainly reached his peak at Brighton. They're not going to suddenly break into the top 6 and become regulars in Europe. He's not gonna get the city, Chelsea or United job. If Klopp melts he "might" have a shout at Liverpool.
I hate spurs at the moment but even I can see we have a far higher ceiling than Brighton.

Yeah of course but it’s a toxic environment to work in. Sometimes that’s more of a consideration than money, or even ceiling

Mainly agree. I wonder if he thinks he could make a run with Leicester or even Woolwich. Liverpool is probably his best-case.

The appointment of Nuno Espirito Santo as Tottenham manager is "turning into a nightmare", according to former Premier League striker Chris Sutton.

Spurs were top of the league after three games following a trio of 1-0 wins, but Sunday's 3-1 loss to Woolwich was their third straight defeat.

That result followed 3-0 reverses against Crystal Palace and Chelsea.

"It doesn't feel like the right fit - he's got to win over the Spurs fans and I'm not so sure he can," said Sutton.

"He wasn't first choice or second choice. Last season his Wolves team were on the decline and the Spurs fans were never going to like his brand of football."

Tottenham conducted a protracted search for a new manager in the summer following the sacking of Jose Mourinho.

Spurs made contact with Paris St-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino about the possibility of the Argentine returning to manage them but the French club were not prepared to let him go.

Former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte appeared set for the role, only for talks between the Italian and Spurs to break down.

Ex-Roma manager Paulo Fonseca then thought he was taking over, only to be dumped in favour of Gennaro Gattuso, who was quickly rejected when fans reacted badly to the existence of social media posts which brought the Italian's commitment to inclusivity into question.

No sooner had Nuno been appointed than he had to deal with speculation over Harry Kane's future, but the England captain stayed and an opening-day win over champions Manchester City seemed to have set the tone for a positive season.

But their recent results have been matched by some damning statistics - they rank 20th out of 20 in the Premier League for shots and chances created this season and have covered less distance than any other side.

"He's been put in an incredibly difficult situation, there's no doubt about that," added Sutton, speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live's Monday Night Club.

"But Nuno's comments blaming himself after the Woolwich game were worrying, and blaming the players as well.

"There were players not running back, unsure about what jobs they were being asked to do. They were a complete and utter shambles. I don't think Spurs fans will ever get the type of football they want under Nuno. Chuck in the Kane stuff as well and it's turning into a bit of a nightmare.

"The appointment simply didn't fit and that's on [chairman] Daniel Levy."

Spurs 'weren't good enough' against Woolwich - Nuno

Former Manchester City defender Micah Richards said the players need to take some responsibility for Tottenham's problems.

"There's no unit, no stability and no organisation - it's almost like they're playing for themselves," said Richards.

"When a manager comes in who is not first choice, you can't use that as an excuse. Yes there might be more glamorous managers but the players have to respect the amazing job Nuno did with Wolves. They were doing well.

"No matter which manager comes in you've got to give them the same respect and fight for them. You're getting judged as well."

How to follow Tottenham on the BBC banner

On paper the squad should be able to get the results required but realistically their WhatsApp group is more than likely full of shit gifs and lunch dates with each other
On paper our players are better than they really are.
Bunch of deluded Spurs fans on here thought Dier and Sanchez had been transformed into Maldini and Moore after City, Wolves and Watford missed a bag full of chances each.

Yes we need to rebuild but this should have started three years ago can we afford to wait another 3/4 years we could be a fair way behind by then.

Interesting what the morning papers will be and if theres rumours and speculation. Thats normally the start of the rot setting in for manager. Never good losing to gooners but the poor application, pisspoor tactics and better players we have but playing like san marino reserves yesterday was beyond unacceptable.

We shall of bought another CB but it looks like the club wanted to save on money
We should have paid the money for the the likes if Dias and Kuande when we had half a chance. Instead we get one on loan who doesn't seem up to the job at present.

Tottenham Hotspur "Watch Us Rise"

Or, in fact, Watch us work our way down our target lists until we find a cheap one....

Joe lewis has a fascination with yachts....at the age of 80. Who needs a yacht at that age for christs sake.

People need to let go of the idea Lewis and/or Levy are at Spurs to bring success. They want money. Money. Money. And they don't want to spend any to make it. The stadium is the equivalent of me mortgaging a 2nd property and renting it out for more than interest only payments every month.

They're never, ever, going to go mad and start spending money on the squad, no matter what any prick on Spurs Community tells you.
