Just remember Frank De Boer got sacked after 4 games. If a manager isn’t the right fit, he isn’t the right fit. Instead of dragging this out when we know full well where it’s ending, bite the bullet and just admit they made a huge mistake. He’s only on a 2 year contract so the pay off won’t be huge. We need to get rid now.

I don't want Nuno to stay, he's not right for the club and it's not the style of football I want to watch.

But this club has completely mistreated him. It's disgusting. They appointed him clearly with no actual belief, gave him zero backing, and a few games in to the season are panicking because he's not working .. which they clearly aren't surprised by.

I feel sorry for him. He seems like a decent bloke and he's being held up a scapegoat. And these inept scumbags are 'considering their options' as if we didn't have since Mourinho's sacking to line somebody up?

Nuno might be out of his depth but the people running this club are crooks and charlatans.

Are you saying that Brighton’s squad is better than ours then? Or could it just be that Potter has them playing together with tactics to suit the strengths and weaknesses of the team- something Nuno seems incapable of
Brighton has a squad built for Potter aligned with the things he wants to do and with the bit between their teeth to accomplish something collectively.

I don’t think they will wind up even flirting with the European places, but fair play to Potter, he’s built a good side there, and some of the things I was skeptical of in the summer are clearly showing through.

At Spurs you have a club just circling the drain and totally lacking any raison d’etre, with a group of players that would fit Potter even worse than they fit Nuno, and a black cloud blotting out any vision of how to get out of it.

If your answer is a manager, any manager, you’re asking the wrong question.

Worst thing was that there was absolutely no midfield on the defensive side either!!
Attacking with long balls from CB is awful, agreed.

But to have 20 meters of empty ground in front of defense... it is criminal. You put it very well - playing like this against fucking scum is crime against our club's history. It is un-fucking-forgivable.
And then to just stand there like a piece of shit, without changing shape, without yelling instructions, without making substitutions and waiting until half time - that is something where one cannot EVER come back.
He could win next 25 games in a row. I would still not forgive him humiliating the club, the shirt the fans like this. Never.
Get him fucking out.
Yes, it was a humiliation - of the club, the fans, but also the players. Because those tactics come from Nuno thinking, I don't trust you to play through midfield. I don't think they'll forget it. The defeats will keep coming until he's gone.

With Poch you could see us going in one dircetion, having a mentality. With Nuno we have no plan on how to win games...
He changes plan from game to game no wonder the players don’t k ow what they are doing. Guy is a clown. Certainly not coached them anything. Plenty of time to have done. If his replacement at wolves has already done it see no reason why Nuno couldn’t have? Except he doesn’t coach like that!

A few melts on a football forum 'panicking' in no way means the club is actually panicking.

I agree. I'm not Nuno out yet, but for the reasons you point out he and Paratici have to start showing that there is a plan. Its ok to struggle when you're trying to pivot a club and determine who does and doesn't fit.

Through 6 matches, Poch was on 8 points 2-2-2 with wins over Spam (A) and QPR (H), away draws with Sunderland and Woolwich, and home losses to Liverpool (0-3) and West Brom.

In fact, after that start he scraped Southampton then lost 3 of the next 4 and 4 of the next 7. Poch didn't really start finding some steam until December.

Nuno has some rope....but he needs to show progress in conveying at least a plan going forward.
The difference is, I could see that Poch had a style and I could understand what he was trying to achieve.
With Nuno I haven't got a scooby what's going on, he picks an attacking team against Chelsea and Woolwich away where we have a notoriously shit record and then plays an ultra defensive side against Palace.

He picks Ndombele to presumably play through the midfield yet against Woolwich one in three of our passes were hopeful long punts.

And don't even get me started on our running stats, which are the worst in the division.

It was obvious for anyone with eyes that it wouldn't last. Football fans love to say '3 points is what matters' but long term you need a style of football which means you're consistently creating more chances than the opposition do. If you don't have that, you won't win enough games.

It was the same during the purple patch under Jose, although lots of our fans were getting dizzy. We were definitely better then than we have been so far this season, but we were still clearly massively overachieving points wise. People hate xG but it's incredibly accurate over a long term basis, and then and now most teams we play have a better xG than we do.

I hope in future people can look past results at times. It needs to be more about whether the managers vision is right for Spurs, and whether the players are buying in to said vision, and showing that on the pitch. Poch struggled results wise first season but I saw so much evidence the players bought in to it, and the ones who didn't we moved on.

I'm sure under someone like Potter we will get some bad results and the transition will be painful. But if change is happening and the players are responding I'm happy, and I think most of our decent fans will be too. Fact is most of us aren't anti-Nuno because we're impatient kneejerkers, we just didn't want him in the first place and our doubts are being confirmed.
Transition will be painful…..or rebuild as Pochettino predicted 3seasons ago if that had been adhered too we wouldn’t be in this mess now, the past 3 seasons have produced eff-all we’d be no better of in terms of success but we might just have a fresh young hungry squad ready to fight okay maybe not quite top 4 yet but at least the potential too be, but instead we’ve the same stale squad short on ideas & energy and until that gets addressed we’re in for a long old season by the time the seasons finished a lot of support will be to.
