Ex-Spurs Player Tanguy Ndombele

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

After MOTD, there was a discussion on the best "ballers" in the PL. One of the definitions was "willing to take a risk in playing balls that might not come off, but having the confidence to doing it anyway". I feel Tanguy fits that definition, and he should be given the freedom to do what he's good at. If that means he is absolved of defensive duties, then so be it. He is a player who needs to see a lot of the ball to keep him involved and interested.

Indeed. He is a gifted player and whilst we all have the right to be critical of his "effort " plays, he is the type of player that can change a game.

Keep it up Tanguy.

I Totally agree with this. I see him as quite Hoddle-like. Hoddle would try stuff and wasn’t always successful but when he did he created highlight reels for YouTube. I’m not saying Ndombele is in the same bracket as Hoddle, but I think should be looked the same way.

Ndombele does more tackling and pressing than Hoddle ever did! But to be fair the game is much quicker now.

England decided Hoddle was a luxury and preferred a crab passer like Ray Wilkins. I’m fearful people on this forum prefer a Skipp (Wilkins) over a Hoddle (Ndombele). The midfield needs balance of both. As does this forum.

Exactly, football is all about getting the right balance of skill and hard work, youth and experience - same as life really :nunothumb:

Funny how The Mercurial No.10 The Mercurial No.10 loves/loved to hate on Tanguy, Aurier, Sissoko & Sanchez.
Yet refrained from criticising or even defended Dier, Davies, Winks and his Irish boy who is the worst of the lot Doherty. Weird pattern there...

Also amusing how he constantly tries to mock our American fans and make them out to be clueless, when he's on a Spurs forum still butthurt over the toxic Chelsea legend who gave us AIDS football for 2 years.

He thinks Dier can't be blamed for smashing it in his own net under zero pressure but apparently it's stupid to have Ndombele MOTM for a game in which he scores and is by far our biggest creative threat.

Yeah, I smell an agenda.

Nothing funny about it TBH, it's fucking pathetic. His hatred for certain players is certainly not based on performances...I'm surprised the little shitbag hasn't been called out before.

What kind of Spurs fan has an avatar of Jose anyway? Something very dodgy about that in itself..

Fabulously skilled footballer. For his sake and the sake of the club, we need him to be putting forth full effort every game and to always be in shape. If he can achieve this, we have one of the lost skilled MF in the world.

My 10 year old son loves Tanguy. He asked me to record all of his games and training so that he could make a compilation video like this one:

Watched the highlights from yesterday, everyone played well but Ndombele was mustard.

But something else stood out for me, the way he celebrates the goals particularly the 3rd showed me he does want to be here and very pleased he got through a full 90.

Has to be in the number 10 / free role or not in the team at all as proven yesterday. All the talent in the world but not the answer in the centre circle for me

If Ndombele had scored the OG, I'd be saying the same thing you dullards. The OG was unlucky and could have happened to any player, it came from a good ball at pace at an awkward height after another player just missing it.

FWIW I thought Hojbjerg and Harry were both better than him yesterday, Skipp also did a fantastic job in doing the leg work again he lacked, have not said he didn't play well, he had a decent game by his (quite poor) standards.

For his goal he gives Reggie a hug for the assist and Sonny bounces the ball off the back of his head.

For the Son goal where the entire front 4 is involved he seemed genuinely happy and excited, much more so than when he scored!

I hate to be body language guy, but it was nice to see everyone really excited for that third goal.
