Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

The only 'Lol' here is at you, if you genuinely think wide players who get like 4-5 goals combined in a league season are anything but not good enough for clubs with ambition. Those two aren't good footballers relative to what we want to achieve.

The xG doesn't look bad, but we had a penalty which forms a large part of ours, we weren't creating many chances from open play at all. The fact we scored a grand total of 3 goals against Wolves, City and Watford tells me maybe our attack doesn't benefit that much from dropping Kane.

Two games where we parked a bus and got a goal from a pen/pot shot don't tell us anything about Bergwijn or Lucas.
2 games no Kane. 6 points, 0 goals conceded.

West Ham parked the bus today at home and got away with 3 points... it's a funny old game.

No Kane is why we conceded no goals? Or maybe you can't judge a team based on 2 whole matches?

West Ham created more than twice our xG today, they let us have possession but committed numbers to the attack and were never sieged the way we were against Wolves or City. Most of the possession we had was in harmless areas.

75+25extra = 100. Negotiate that to 110 or so and thats a pretty good deal. But all the idiots were saying 150!!! 200!! they are our rivals!!! Make him rot in the reserves!! Those cunts are looking real dumb cunts now.

You seem to be getting needlessly pre-occupied by a few fan voices and somehow extrapolating them to being what the club was thinking.

For what it's worth. We went undefeated against 7 teams this season (including pre season) without Kane. We had games against City, Woolwich, Chelsea, and Wolves during that 7 game span. We actually looked to have decent chemistry/flow in our game during that stretch.

We got lucky with City, being the first game of the season. They would beat us at a canter now, with or without Kane. And let's not forget they genuinely should have been about 4 up after 15 minutes. The new manager effect bubble has long since burst.

I've never paid attention to pre-season and never will. Nothing more than a chance for teams to get fit. I remember one pre-season where United under LVG won every single one of their games beating sides like Madrid, Liverpool and Bayern whilst playing great football, soon as the season started it was his stale possession shit.

Sell Kane as he doesn't want to be at the club, bring in quality alongside Son. If we wanna rely on Bergwijn/Son/Lucas till then fine but the overwhelming likelihood is we will score very few goals. It's not going to be pretty either way.

Again, it remains to be seen if that's true or not. We can only go off past results and see if we delivered decent results without Kane. And as I've posted more than dozens of time on this thread, we've performed slightly better without Kane (as long as Son is playing) over a stretch of ~30 games / last 3 seasons.

Yeah I don't disagree with what you're saying but to say that we'd be shit without Kane or would fall off a cliff simply isn't true. Or at least that's what the past data/stats show.

While the likes of Lucas Moura and Bergwijn are consistently getting game time, we'll continue to get nowhere as a football club. Not that they are our only problems.

Kane played today, we lost, blanked again and his mark scored on a corner.

I've seen a range of xG figures for today's match... which one are you talking about?

We're already basically hanging off the edge with one finger, buddy. We won't fall off without him but I don't think we'll see any improvement by dropping him. Maybe the overall team unit will benefit from it, but I'm doubtful of that still.

The 'club' were thinking everything will be fine with a striker that doesnt want to be here as our only striker while not even replacing Vinicius or Bale. Seriously stupid.

Different conversation (That's got nothing to do with all the stuff you were just chatting about cunt fans and price-tags!).

I wholeheartedly agree that not buying another senior goal-scorer was a fundamental flaw in our transfer window.

Trusting Kane to knuckle down.... Less so. We needed the above regardless.

We'll just have to try it out for a couple games and see what happens I guess

Every time Kane has gone out we've stepped up as a team and performed relatively well

We were garbage against Wolves and Watford. We got wins but the performances were bad, especially in the latter game. Just nothing from a creative standpoint but their keeper happened to basically flap at a free kick so we squeaked it.

If we play like we did in those games, long term we won't get many points.
