Is he? We've signed one Mendes client under Paratici, and that is Nuno.

What data backs up that Paratici is a Mendes stooge?
There's a perception that they have a prior "working relationship" e.g.: Ronaldo.

Dudski Mendes is actually Paola Fonseca's agent.

Mendes is one of the most powerful agents in football, and Portugal (and by proxy, Brazil) is a pipeline(s) to talent.

All the big clubs work with Mendes to some degree. It is unavoidable when you operate in the stratosphere where we want to be.

And it isn't like we haven't been in bed with agents before. We have been a Barnett club for years. And he is the English Mendes.

The thing with Nuno is that he showed he can play aggressive attacking football, the game against City was great, yes they had chances that they missed, but we were up in their faces pressing them in that game and when we won the ball counter attacked quickly and directly, I was so excited after that game

Since then it’s just been awful, so weird that game just seems like an anomaly

Maybe it’s Kane coming back in, he doesn’t press or run in behind

I sadly think that Harry is at least one factor. He has checked out and the type of press that we played with against City requires a more mobile attacking line than what he has offered.

The Villa and Newcastle games were good as well. But they seem to be blips on the radar rather than consistent form. And that's the frustrating thing. We see glimpses of what could be but keep getting dragged down.

Newcastle and even Villa are both poor teams. City was the 1st game and they also had numerous injuries. We have proven the moment we come up against anyone remotely decent, we fold like a pack of cards. We are bang average under a bang average manager, it’s as simple as that.

Everything about Spurs bar the stadium screams mid table mediocrity.
Levy is a posh Ashley.
Paratici is a fraud
Nuno is the very definition of a "meh" coach.
At least half the players wouldn't attract a bid from a top half team anymore.

Kane is still feeling sorry for himself. Resembles Ronaldo in not pressing, and the effect it has on the team. But with fewer goals.

I think a part of the problem is Nuno is a caretaker, and the players know it. Levy/Paratici know it too, which obviously reflects very badly on them hiring him.

Personally I can't forget the Woolwich disasterclass. Any coach capable of that should be shown the door.

Cry harder you moaning sap. I can't decide what's more boring - antiques roadshow, watching paint dry, or your posts.

I think the intensity of the City game was just due to the occasion. It was the season opener, back in a full stadium against the defending champions who were trying to buy our AWOL best player. Kane not being there also meant we had an XI of fully committed players.

Kane still being here is massive problem because Nuno doesn’t have the personality or trophy cabinet to get him back to normal but doesn’t have the bollocks to drop him either.

I doubt Kane respects him at all, it’s clear from recent performances that none of the players really respect him. They don’t like his football ideas, he’s a distant, boring man and he has never won anything. Players like Lucas have already complained publicly about the style of football we are playing. To achieve anything as a team the players, fans and staff have to all be together, it’s so clear that we aren’t.

I think Parker, Potter, Conte, Rodgers, in their own different ways they would be able to unite the dressing room and refocus Kane. Nuno simply can’t. Even someone like Ryan Mason could do it. Tottenham need to play on the front foot and focus on scoring goals. If we have a manager who disagrees with that then they need to be sacked.

What "numerous" injuries did Man City have? This was their subs bench that day:

Substitutes

  • 2 Walker
  • 5 Stones
  • 9 Gabriel Jesus
  • 11 Zinchenko
  • 13 Steffen
  • 14 Laporte
  • 16 Rodri
  • 17 De Bruyne
  • 20 Bernardo Silva

Their starting 11 that day was pretty weak. They could only make 3 subs.
They're renowned for slow starts.
Their squad went further than ours in the Euro's - Kane was our only player in the final. They had Walker, Sterling, Stones. Believe they had more in the semi finals than us too.

City didnt have injuries but they did have 7 outfield players who had played in tournaments that summer and therefore hadnt had much if any pre season. We had 2, Sanchez and Hojbjerg. Not trying to take away from the result but its the reason we looked fitter and they looked cooked after 30 mins.
