Fair enough regarding players. Some of those were ageing though so we'll call it similar talent wise. I still guarantee there's more Nuno out now than there was AVB out then. Admittedly it would be close but I'm positive I'm right.

Nuno has no chance to be successful. I honestly don’t think he’s doing a particularly bad job, we are so much tougher to break down than we might otherwise be.
Modric was sold and Dembele was purchased between AVB’s first and second season.

Best summer the club have had in recent times. Used the Modric money to totally change the personality and attitude of the squad. AVB will always bear some credit for what came after in my book, there was no DoF, that was him.
I wasn't a fan of AVB at all. Stale possession football is one of the worst playstyles around. We basically just looked for Bale to score a worldie every other game in his first season, and then when he lost that we looked completely clueless. Got absolutely taken apart by several teams in that second season too, was awful.
I just don't agree. We are tougher to break down because everyone, including Kane, is behind the ball. It's disgusting to watch. It can't go on and I'm astonished he's lasted this long. If we go out tomorrow and lose Saturday then he's 100% gone. I'd rather the under 5s coach takeover. Even if we win both it's only prolonging the inevitable.
