Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He's clearly trying. He's just in a serious physical decline since his injuries. He has been for 2-3+ years now.

We're just noticing it more now given it's gotten to the point where he can't perform against average sides.

His decline is similar to Rooney's who also peaked around 24-25 years old and was in the MLS by 32.
The player is done at this level and I fully expect to see him either as a PSG sub, or a nice marquee signing for Newcastle

If you can't see the difference between defending Kane and disagreeing with the shit agenda some of you have, I can't help you.

Notice I have no issue with anyone saying Kane played shit, just those like you and buddy boy who focus entirely on him and give the rest a pass. Agenda, agenda, agenda. That's all you two offer.
Now you don’t mind because it’s undeniable.

Well done for noticing two months later though

Kane's performances are down to nothing but himself. He's been shit, in isolation. I don't think Nuno's tactics helped (or the fact we have zero creativity in midfield, this helps none of our attackers) but the way he's playing right now is his own problem.

It's you trying to blame Kane for the other players shit performances. All of them are playing badly, but equally all of them are struggling with our lack of creativity from midfield.
Correct.

So given we have a good amount of games played without Kane, the only way to assess as to whether he's been a hindrance to the team is to isolate the variable by seeing how we performed without him. If 30+ games is not enough data, then I don't know what to say.

Remember, Wolves just played Everton and won 2-1. Look at the difference in the way they performed with Jimenez. If you watched the game, you'll see how huge of an impact/presence he had in that game. He managed to make shit players look good around him. He was battling for every ball and making things happen. And if you want to say that he has better players around him... well, his attacking partner had 0 goals in the Bundesliga last year.

Lol why is it that when someone criticizes Kane, the fanboys always try to deflect and try to point the finger at someone else. It's It's the team! Nuno! It's the defense! It's the midfield! It's Son! It's Moura! He just had a baby!

Yet whenever Kane goes out, we actually win and get results.
Multiple people have said hes been shit.
Can you show us on a doll where kane touched you?

Not even slightly.

I'm not interested in scapegoating Kane because he was a dick or giving Son a pass because a keeper fucked up on a FK and Ederson flapped at a shot early in the season. Both he and Kane have been equally disappointing for a long stretch now. Yet one gets called a 'class above' for very little, or gets excuses made for him whenever he plays badly.

Both our star attackers have been shit this season. The level of analysis on Son appears to be 'Kane's fault' or 'has to be striker as 29 is too old to run' vs 'Fuck kane, scumbag, he's shit now'. I'm not saying it's a deep conspiracy, it's obvious why people are turning on Kane more, I just find it incredibly boring and it leads to shit analysis.
No mate your still not getting it. You mentioned Kane in relation to Son the said you were not interested in just that...🤨

I'm not interested in criticising one player above all others ... you claim Kane isn't getting scapegoated on here by some? I completely disagree.

I mentioned Son as a comparison, as for me he's playing close to as badly as Kane all season, yet is getting a fraction of the criticism. That sounds like scapegoating a single player over all others to me, but hey, each to their own.

What I'm not interested in is blaming Kane for Son's bad performances, or vice versa. And the former is happening a lot in here.

So sammyspurs sammyspurs and I were just gooner trolls up until the last couple weeks because we were pointing something out about Kane that many didn't seem to notice?

But now that we turned out to be right and everyone else is noticing, it's all just an agenda?

What?

You do realize that us pointing out/observing that Kane has been declining has zero impact in the way Kane performs right? Or zero impact to anything generally speaking. A correct observation is not an agenda. It's just a correct observation.

Your still doing it. I contend the reasons why the Son thread had not been bumped. What with them both being shit...after you asked why. Then you said you were not interested in the comparison having...made the comparison. I know its the Internet but can someone let me out? My reading and compression work fine im sure of this....

You sure about that?

Your reasons for the Son thread not being bumped were poor, and I said as much. Player not being a dick in the summer doesn't entitle them to shit performances for months on end.

And I'm happy to compare the treatment they get from fans, when did I say otherwise? They're our two star players, some on here have said they rate Son more highly.

I thought Kane, although still not playing well, was actually a bit better today than he has been recently. He still messed up certain passes etc but I thought his touch and passing was improved overall. He created a decent chance for Reg.

Still not good enough, but maybe a tiny step in the right direction.

Mate you never once said your reasoning is poor. Stop with this now it's silly. God what happened to people is it just spending too much time in here. Or just the "Internet must win"

Or you could drop the tedious argument over semantics?

Yeah I did. I clearly said that your 'Son scored winners' reasoning was poor as I disagree that just because a couple of keepers made errors, we should give Son's performances a pass. He's been as poor as Kane has for a while in my book, but escapes enough criticism. You said Kane's not being scapegoated .. then gave reasons why he is being scapegoated.

No not tedious vital, mean what you say say what you mean. Then I don't misconstrue your ideas and you don't mine.

If you can't do that then we can't talk. I don't do semaphore, or weird agenda driven crap . I'm not one of those posters( Yes we know who they are). Prehaps you have been playing with them too long. I don't do that. I'm here for genuine discourse, not you make some stuff up I make some stuff up. There's a good dozen posters here I come here to chat with for this specific reason. If its a problem I'll happily remove you from that list.

That's your own choice .. I'll leave it up to you.

I just think there was a confusion .. that's all, and the point may have got lost in a barrage of posts/replying to multiple people. I'm not gonna go back and trawl through all the posts to see what exactly was said, so I'll leave it there..

Will Kane be capable mentally or physically to regain 100% of his performance levels? Even with a top conditioning team and a strong will. He has been buggering about for a good 18 months now. He is no spring chicken. And there's a new generation of players coming into their prime. Maybe not at Spurs. But I think he may find even if he wants to he has cooked his own goose.

the Midfield are not adequate passers they cannot pass inbetween the lines where Harry Kane and Son and dele love they can barley pass it wide to our bombing wingers its quite obvious Harry moura and son dropping back to collect and try to make something happen does not benefit us.

18 months?

He led the fucking league in goals and assists last season, I hope he continues that buggering around level of play.
