I'd definitely take Bale back in January. It's hard to get top signings mid-season and Bale can still get goals in the Premier League. His intelligence, passing and finishing are just huge upgrades on what Lucas/Bergwijn give us. If he wants to come, he will surely know what Conte would demand of him.

Probably just a bullshit rumour, but I hope it's true.

Conte knows best and if it’s just on loan again it’s no big deal, but I’d rather prioritize someone who has a bit competitive fire left than Bale.

He’s obviously still very talented and can score goals but his effort outside the final third last year often made Tanguy look like Roy Keane.

Who am I to question Conte but while signings will be hard enough in Jan not sure would Bale add a lot I suppose as we are so weak in areas he can hardly be any worse but I think that ship sailed a while back if he does come obviously hope I am way wrong .

It’s about if we can realistically swap Ndombele for anyone at Barca.
De Jong, Fati, and Pedri are the 3 players I’d want, but Barca wouldn’t allow it.
Rest of Barca players are either too old or not good enough.
Not that they would join Spurs but you also got ter Stegen, Sergiño Dest, Ronald Araújo, Eric Garcia, Gavi, Nico Gonzalez, Depay - all good enough for Spurs' starting XI
PS! I presume you mean Frenkie de Jong and not Luuk de Jong ;)

True, but why would he want to leave Barca for Spurs?
Frenkie de Jong hasn't played that well for Barca and he may soon find himself on the bench "behind" players like Nico Gonzalez, Busquets, Gavi and Pedri... unless he improves his performances.
Whether he'd be leaving Barca for Spurs should he be struggling to get into Barca's starting XI is another question. I doubt he would be I still hope he could...

I think getting CL is a big ask this season with the way other team are playing
I think CL is doable exactly because of the way other teams are playing. Get 12 pts out of our next 5 games and we should be within a 2-4 points off 4th. By that time our fitness levels will be significantly better and Conte's tactics should be much more ingrained, so I expect a strong 2nd half of the season, which could lead to us pipping 4th. I guess we'll see, but I'm feeling optimistic.

Big risk considering he's serving a 12-month ban for doping (think it might have been reduced to 9 months) but this includes banned not only from playing but training too.

To play Conte's preferred brand of football though having a keeper that is good with his feet is of paramount importance, I think Onana is alright in this dept. probably better than Hugo.

It was a pretty harsh ban for accidentally using his wife's medication - Furosemide - a diuretic used to help with water retention. The authorities even acknowledged this and reduced the ban, but said they had to ban him due to it being on their "list" as it can be used to help cover use of other, more serious drugs, none of which he tested for or has ever tested for.
