Not congratulating myself at all, just acknowledging your own post has inadvertently pointed out I backed the players when they were performing while others wanted them sold to West Brom and Swansea

The move is initially said to have stalled over the structure of payments after a £17m fee was discussed.

Spurs were ideally looking to spread the payments over a series of instalments but Bologna would prefer the cash upfront.

Additionally, Royal was a 5 year deal, so longer to pay it off. Thrifty.

IF this story is true (I don't doubt it) one should seriously question Levy's way of doing business! Spurs could easily have agreed to Bologna's demand as they could easily afford the £17m (Woolwich did agree and Spurs are in a better financial situation than them) and instead decide to buy another player because of a payment structure that suits Levy & Lewis better.
That may not be the case but it sounds like Levy & Lewis
