. From what I’ve seen if conte he likes his players to be cautious and play it safe rather than lose it on a dribble. May be he can tolerate one dribbler like Lucas but 2 in the team not so sure.
It's true that we play with a lot of caution, but there is no doubt in my mind that Conte wants our guys to try to beat their man in certain situations.

Was that game about good defending from Southampton or your team struggling to find a way through?

I think both. Both. They were very good, they defended very well. To find space it wasn't easy, but at the same time I think that we can do much better and to move the ball more quickly. Sometimes to try also to find the one vs one.

What does that mean?

Traore has more muscle mass and more pace.
So it means he has better raw material for track and field superstar.

But in football ball control, pass and crossing accuracy and ability to shoot are also very crutial.
I very much doubt that pre-Conte Moses had those skills worse than Traore of now.

When Chelsea initially brought Moses, it came on back of a season where he scored 6 goals and gave 6 assists for Wigan. While being 21. Traore has had 1 season where he matched such contribution and he is 26 later this month. And this season he is on 0 goals + 0 assists once more...

That's a good point, Moses was better at Wigan (at a young age) than I remember.

What's Traore's best season for assists, is it 7? That's not bad. The way people talk it's like Traore can't play football at all and is just Usain Bolt trying out for a team.

My point is IF Conte wants this player, then he would feel that he could do with Traore what he did with Moses, and mould him into a wing-back. But I have no idea if Conte wants Traore or not.

You can have an opinion, but it's amazing to me you find it surprising that some people want the top class manager to get the players he wants.

I don't really care if you don't rate Adama, but the whole 'oh why are people just sheep, thinking their opinion matters less than Conte's..' is just fucking silly. It's obvious why people want the elite manager backed with players HE might value.
I mean, fine, but we all know how this goes in the real world.

The honest views of the relevant parties are not public information. Therefore, two years from now the amount Conte “wanted” whoever Spurs bring in will be totally and solely dependent on what version of the story is needed for that day’s argument for or against Daniel Levy.

Nah, it's what defenders have to do all the time because he's borderline impossible to stop when running at them. Liverpool also gave away 3 yellow cards just from trying to hack him down when he was countering.

Yah

He was running straight at Varane with no options because he lifted his head late. Matic leaves him there and Varane easily deals with it.

But this is what happens with the Traore fan bois they latch on to one small thing ignoring the reality of his play.

I do rate Adama actually, at least he’d add something unexpected.

Not the point though.
If Contes only targets this window was Noble and Albrighton I’d question the manager instead of cheerleading for two players I personally think are total shit.

There is zero reason to think that Conte wants Traore and plenty of reasons to think he doesn't and that this is a Levy driven rumour.

Ozil, Xhaka and Auba were the three big losers they needed to get rid of. Two of whom were given the armband and all three of whom got bumper new contracts well after proving what unserious footballers they were. A banter club hat trick.

Lego Man is making progress, we’d be fools to deny it. Saka is mustard and plays with the right attitude, they ought to pay him anything it takes to lock him down and make him the captain and centerpiece, let’s hope they fuck it up.
Only agree about Xhaka, who has always been terrible and ironically the player Arteta has rated most of any player he inherited. Auba basically singlehandedly won Artera that FA cup which is the only reason he's been able to survive the last two seasons. It was stupid to make him him captain, but he's been an absolute class player for them. Ozil was also very good for most of his tenure, when they were actually a top four team unlike under Arteta.

They've got some good young players like Saka, ESR, Martinelli, Gabriel and Ramsdale. They could be something in a few years, but they've taken advantage of the fact that we threw away a quarter of the season under Nuno and whatever United is doing. And even then we're still only 2 points behind with two games in hand, with a six pointer coming up.

I still don't rate Arteta a bit, his team is ridiculously undisciplined, almost always gets played off the pitch by good teams, and his ego is gargantuan compared to what he's achieved. He's been lucky with their academy and that the last leadership group brought in Martinelli. We'll see.

They also aren't run particularly well. Edu is so thickly in bed with Joorchabian and that's where 75% of their transfer come from. They did alright this summer, but there have been a lot more Willians, Pepes, Pablo Maris than good signings. Their wage bill is also a disgrace. Though it does seem like Kroenke is sticking some money in now.

Luke Shaw isn't slow at all, and had a decent little headstart on Adama to get to the ball out wide ... but Adama's acceleration is insane, got there comfortably and Shaw knew he would as well. The man scares defenders.

I’m not overly enamoured with the prospect of him coming to us but that goal came from the mere havoc he has inflicted on the United defence since coming on. I definitely think he’d have a use here, even if he’s not exactly what I think we need.

It absolutely did not, if anything that shows the problem with him, gets in deep and then crosses the ball right to the CB.

Phil Jones being a crap CB doesn't make the shit cross by Traore any better.
