Rubbish. You are the last person to lol at anybody mate. He skinned the defender got to the byline and put in a pacey cross. I believe he would do this for fun at Spurs and Harry would love him for it

He put the cross right to the CB where no Wolves player was. Why would Kane love him doing that?

So what it comes down to is your opinion from likely infrequently watching them over the past four years compared to a clearly tracked statistic about passes from the player that lead his teammate shooting to the ball.

There is literally nothing to interpret, it just counting actions that observably takes place on the field. It's objective versus subjective.

It's like if I came up and pushed you in the street and then you said "why did you push me?" and then I said I didn't, I was watching closer then you were and it didn't happen.

No it isn’t because the stats provide zero context.

It’s more like if you were bumped and then bumped me and I blamed you because factually you bumped me but we can see if we look at what happened it wasn’t your fault.

The problem with most of these stats is they provide zero context. Which is why both stats and viewing should be used to provide an overall picture of what happened.

If we all take a step back from Adamas. Pros and cons. He doesn’t currently play rwb for his club and barely starts. When he does play he play wide right in Lucas’s position basically. So no point going on about this and that as we don’t know what he’d be like at rwb. Will even have the space and have a high starting position on the pitch. Most of the time he got the ball today was near the half way line or just in their half with manure playing more attacking players. However if he was rwb then I assume he’d be much further back in a defensive position. There is no way conte would have him so far up the pitch if we are defending and he is rwb. He would need to be in his defensive position. Thing is do we know whether he is disciplined enough and have football brain to do this? I’m not so sure. We can’t waste time and money right now trying to work out if he can do this. I’d much rather we play a solid back 4 as we know royal is a solid RB., we are trying to play a system for which we don’t have the tools at the moment and Adama is an unknown in that position generally. I’d prefer we played royal RB and play a wide tight attacker in front who knows the role of playing an attacking wide player.

From his comments at the press conference ahead of Chelsea Conte hasn't even had his sit down with Paratici and Levy to talk about what to do yet. What are they waiting for?
I think that conversation has most definitely been had between Antonio and Para already, they would've had multiple conversations since he's been here and the manager will have made him aware of who he doesn't want especially already.

How do we know Conte wants Traore???? Has he publicly praised the player??? For example Klopp once said Traore was "unplayable" but so far I've heard nothing from Conte.
I don't think anyone can say for sure that Conte wants Traore, but Paratici certainly has the horn for him. Maybe Paratici is trying to persuade Conte that he's just what we need.

Not all his crosses will go to defenders and once upon a time Kane used to score regularly when we got crosses in. We don’t really get to the byline these days apart from against Watford and our lack of practice in that area showed badly. Traore showed in the few minutes he was on that he has the ability to do so.

Another thing is that apart ftom
Lucas we generally have no one good in the air anymore. So I’m really struggling to understand why need to keep crossing the ball in in the air. Kane ain’t gonna jump with a defender any more only if he is in space will he jump. But one on one I don’t think so he never does it now in the middle of the pitch from either king goal kicks or a clsssic Sanchez long ball.

Should've gotten Podence while he was at Olympiacos. He tore us a new one when we played them and we decided to buy Bergwijn 2 months later...
Had Bergwijn went to Wolves at the same time instead of Podence we'd probably look at it a bit differently. I'd fancy Bergwijn at Wolves to be a respectable PL player with a better g/a tally than Podence has managed. Podence here would be stuck in the same rut as Bergwijn, often injured and stuck behind Kane and Son.

Emerson's delivery wasn't great the other day, but I had some sympathy in that Kane is no longer a good target for the crosser. Watching it back there's very little for him to aim for on many occasions.

Remember his had to play under Dino for most of his time and had him playing as a 2nd full back most of the time. Look at how wolves played today they seem to create a lot of space in forward area by their movement. So whoever received the ball they had good options to run or pass the ball.

Having watched him play I am not sure all his crosses wouldn’t go to defenders, at least the ones that don’t go straight out.

But more importantly the play we were talking about did go straight to a defender so it’s pretty relevant to talk about.

I agree it would be great to get Kane in the end of more crosses, there is no reason to think that Traore will be the guy to do that.

Conte will have identified areas of the squad that he wants improvement on already. He will have told Para who is surplus to requirements (I think that'll be Doherty, Tanguy, Rodon and probably Alli) and he'll want some areas prioritized over others.

Para will identify players who fit the remit (scouting them in the process), will put feelers out about availability, contract situations, wages etc., and a list of players will be drawn up for each position which will be discussed between them, Levy and Hitchen.

Conte knows January is difficult but will expect more in the summer, Para will be working on transfers for now and then already.
