Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

As a Swede I would love to see him at Spurs . I think Kulusevski has some real drive with the ball in his possession. If he was to play for spurs I'd like to see him in a number 10 role to be the creative link forward.

My personal dream signings this window would be Kulusevski, Alexander Isak (there are some stuff that he does with the ball that is not explainable, also biased), and De Ligt.
Swedes love to hype up everything that's Swedish. That worries me.
There are lots of talented players so why not Doku for example? Let me guess, he ainta Swede?

Isn't it possible to make Lucas a wing back and skip Traore.

They are pretty alike. Run with the ball until they get fouled or lose it. Traore is stronger but Lucas has better end product. And pretty good crossing.

That is the best post & idea I've seen here for a while.

Also Lucas really loves the club and despite the fact we don't know much about his defensive instincts in deeper position, he is always very eager to pressure opposite players in final third. Plus well - he loves the club and gives his all at every moment.

If we could sell Doherty and move Moura to replace him there, we could take this 10-15 mil, triple it and go for an attacking player that would boost our front line. Might be that if this happens we cannot sell Bergwijn in January and wait for the summer though. Cause front line would get too light. OR we could if we ship out Bergwijn+Dele and bring in more adequate player to replace both of them.

summer would be good, 12 months kicks in, will be alot cheaper but then alot of teams will be sniffing

if we pay 20 m more now id do it just for that alone

Contract lenght makes Viola's position weaker... but at the same time the price is set by demand.

And I do not expect this to cool down in the summer.

Remember, Real bid what, 120 mil for Mbappe with 1 season left on the deal?
I could easily see that he could move for 70 mil either now or in summer without much difference.

What concerns to Fiorentina "not wanting to lose important player in mid season" - well they are 7th with 6 points off CL spot. But Atalanta is on 4th and Juve+Roma between them. They will not make it to CL and will not get relegated. Their biggest ever departure has been ~40 mil. If someone comes in to offer almost double that, I would not be surprised if they accept it. There is always chance that he gets injured for 2nd half of the window, and serious injury would knock off tens of millions most likely.

So we'll see.

I am still not fully comfortable paying 70-80 mil for a player based on 1,5 seasons in Serie A where Fazio, Chirices and Smalling are top 6 level starting defenders and where even Alexis Sanchez, Mikytarian and others like them are top 6 level attacking players.

The club will have to reflect in the face of the Gunners' move [70 mill], but also pay attention to Tottenham and Atletico Madrid. The Serbian, however, would like to end the season in Florence.

The only way I can see Erikson coming back is as a coach or ambassador. He is not the player he was(and wasn't before his illness) and we should be thinking about ourselves and not getting sentimental. Harsh, but we are a Football club/team not a charity. Sorry if that offends anyone

Pretty sure we were interested in this kid a couple of years ago. £30 mill.

The 22-year-old has bagged 20 league goals and is enjoying the best season of his career. That mark puts him behind only Fulham’s Aleksandar Mitrović (22) in the race for the Championship golden boot.
Rovers insist that they do not want to lose Brereton Diaz – who has six-months left on his current deal, although the club also have an option to take on him for an additional season.
Aston Villa paid Brentford just shy of £30million to land Ollie Watkins in 2020. Blackburn believe that is a realistic comparison should anyone make a firm offer.

Surpassing the Watkins fee would make Brereton Diaz the Championship’s most expensive striker ever.

Only defender Nathan Ake (£41m) and midfielder Moussa Sissoko (£31.5m) commanded higher fees when transferring out of the Championship from Bournemouth and Newcastle respectively.

I like him, and he’s really broken out this season, but I’d worry that he’s one of those who looks good in that league because he can do everything a striker should do pretty well, but lacks that one or two exceptional qualities that usually makes a successful premier league striker. As free few in the summer, absolutely, but I wouldn’t want to pay more than £10/15m for him now.

I remember watching him a few years ago and he was a powerful target man but not very skilful.
Haven't seen him recently.

Isak will only come if Kane leaves as I doubt he'll want to be an understudy to Kane - with Son and Kane playing more centrally Spurs will need the 3rd striker to play wider to create space. Isak is not that type of player - Kulusevski is.
As for de Ligt: he's a player I really want at Spurs - but he's on a wage I doubt Levy will pay (Paratici would know everything about his salary + perks), and bigger and richer clubs than Spurs would be after him. His agent has said that de Ligt is ready for a career move though.

if de Ligt wants to move "upwards" from Juventus where does he go? Barcelona, Man United and Real Madrid are all in a shambles.

Bayern Munich have been buying defenders recently and strikers are probably their priority next, but I guess that would be his option.
