Tierney is so overrated he is absolute crap.

Reguilion is definitely better than Cresswell, that isn't debatable or opinion that is just a fact.

Shaw I said equal to. I think Shaw has shown that he can play better, but also at times this year has been awful as well. How much of that is due to Ole is tough to say.
It’s absolutely not a fact

In 2020/21 Cresswell recorded 8 assists in a team that finished above us

Reguilon got 3

Tierney is crap 😂, I hate the goons but he’s one of the best in the league easily

I thought your Lucas Moura business was mad but this takes the biscuit

It’s beside the point though. Reguilon is good enough to hide in a side full of top players, sure, but he’s not elevating the team, and he’s not at the level Danny Rose was 5-6 years ago.

We need to sign a player who is the driver of team success again, for the first time in forever. Then do it again. Then again. Etc.

Let us hope Romero and Gil are the first two, too early to tell.

I am not a Danny Rose fan so I think Reguilon is easily at that level.

I don't think he is likely to be a top player but with the holes we have he is far from the player we need to look at upgrading.

Maybe after we get a new LCB, RCB, RWB, 3 new MFers then we can look at Reguilon but until then he is far from a problem with this team.

It absolutely is fact and Tierney is crap.

Either way he clearly wasn't a dreadful signing.

LWB is not an immediate priority, on that we agree.

But if we address our problem positions by signing more Reguilons we are going nowhere.

Doesn’t mean he wasn’t a fair punt at the price, but we keep striking out on fair punts for the price. Turns ones eyes to the punter if you ask me.

SPURS SCENE REPORT:

GK:
Lloris: Offer new, short deal w/ options
Gollini: Is this Lloris's replacement? If not, end loan.

DEF:
Dier, Romero, Sanchez, ________________
Reguilón, Sessegnon
_______________, Emerson,
Tanganga

CM:
______________, Højbjerg, Skipp,
Winks, Lo Celso

AM:
Ndombele,
Dele

WINGERS:
Son, Lucas, Bryan Gil, Bergwijn

FORWARDS:
Kane, _____________________
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Winks (LOAN) *** I'd actually prefer to get rid of Højbjerg but that's not gonna happen. ***
Dele (LOAN/SELL)
Tanganga (LOAN)

Davies (LOAN/SELL)
Rodon (LOAN/SELL)
Doherty (LOAN/SELL)

Cameron Carter-Vickers (Is this guy really any worse than Rodon?)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

IMO, our order of positional priority should be (assuming we sign Lloris for another season):

1. CM (maybe 2 CMs)
2. 2nd #9
3. CB (left-footed)
4. RB/RWB

It absolutely is fact.
You are, as usual, confusing fact and opinion. There is no definitive empirical way to prove that one player is better than another, so it's a matter of opinion rather than fact. You can often say something is 'near enough' to a fact because 99.9% of people will agree with it - for example that Messi is a better footballer than your mum, or that your mum has had sex with more men than Messi has - but if others on a football forum disagree with you about which of two players is better, then it's not only not a fact, it's not even a rarely disputed opinion - it is instead a matter of opinion on which people hold contrasting opinions - sometimes opinions that many people would deem valid, other times opinions that seem batshit crazy - but opinions rather than facts nonetheless.

CCV just lacks the mobility for the PL (and USMNT)

Seems to be doing well for Celtic. Make them pay up for a permanent deal.

I agree if our transfers are all the Reguilon level we will not get to where we want to go to, but the transfer was a success.

The fact it is one of our best in recent years means we should 100% point fingers at the decision makers.

Wrong as usual.

Well made observation.

We are in desperate need of players who push up levels.

It comes from the manager but it must also be in players to be eked out.

Kane, Eriksen, Vertonghen, Alderweireld and Dembele. Alli for those 3 seasons. My God what a bunch and they were simply drivers of top performances. Include Rose in that.

All that lot above and obviously the younger version of Kane would saunter into this team at present and we would be right on City's tail, so good were they.

We have to find the versions for today. It will take time.

You had me up to the last 3 words.

There’s are opinions spouted in here that are beyond batshit crazy.
