Paid £27m for Royal, if we're already "desperate" for another, we may as well move him on and sign a cheap backup to whoever the new one is.

If another club of our size and wealth had managed just one league Cup in 21 years , and 0 trophies in 13, I doubt they would have a hysterical mob screaming and shouting their defence of the owners at every turn, either?
I mean, how can someone use still being in the FA cup, when we haven't kicked a ball yet, and claim we only got knocked out of Europe because of Covid, after bottling it against the likes of Mura and Vitesse, as valid reasons to fend of criticism. It's outright trolling, mate.

I’d love him, he’s only 26, very good up front but has the skill and pace to play on the right too, so would give us options, and is in the form of his life. Not his modus operandi but can hold the ball up and thread a pass when necessary too. Only downside is his injury history but he seems to be out of the woods on that one.

Every transfer window it's like being on the conveyor belt moving slowly but surely to the mincing machine.
You hope against logic and motion and then crunch, you're fcuked by the inevitable slicing.
I'm not saying we are a club in any real jeopardy but if we want to be taken seriously and start to show real promise, it's not enough to get a proper puppeteer and to expect him to work with poorly equipped puppets.
A couple of decent signings this month would be enough to quell the drift towards the mince meat of negative perception.

Oh god these ideas. Theo is one of the best LB's in the World. It's like saying "we should be sneaky and sign Barella from Inter or Pellegrini from Roma". It won't happen, the fans of those clubs would kill their owners if those players are sold...
I didn't and don't expect us to make a bid, 50 million is probably our entire transfer. We aren't going to spend it on him.

Short term deal for a year I think I’d go for it. He’s a player Conte likes too and let’s remember Conte doesn’t always want the most expensive toys, just the ones he thinks will work best in his team.
It’d take him 17 of those months to get fit
