We've needed a coach like this for a long long time, and Conté actually has the ability to justify these demands of the club. Levy has nowhere to hide if he doesn't do what is needed and Conté ends up walking. Superb.
I really feel this is the last chance for ENIC, we were very, very lucky to get Conte. If he ends up walking due to the lack of ambition, it will be a shameful look for the club and it will be back to the farce of the summer where we could only get Nuno to take the job. Next time it will be fat Rafa or Klinsmann.

I think that would be the end of ENIC if this fails. Imagine the stadium and fans if that happens.

we can't say Levy hasn't spend our money on transfers (something like £250m spent) trouble is hardly any of the players we got have worked out,
go back to bale money only Eriksen really worked out
for me one of the troubles has been not spending when that chance was there to move forward
Saha & Nelson
not getting charlie Austin in Januray of Leicster season (extra striker maybe more wins, we win the EPL)
another is Levy's worked out there is big cost and risk in trying to move from position 8 to top four (if you get top 4 you may get the money back, match fees etc) but 5,6,7 nd its the other euro comps that that's just money down the drain

This has happened too many times for it to be a coincidence. They just don’t want to spend to get us over the final hurdle. They’ll do it again to Conte and he’ll leave because of it. Frustrating as we can see it happening a mile off.

but in the recent past we have spent money on players, GLC, Ndombele, Romano, Sess, Clarke, Doc, etc
there is at least £200M with that and other summer buys
But these players are either duds or just not good enough
if its Levy that's picking these players he needs the sack (not possible as the owns too many shares)
if its others picking the players then its them at fault

That’s not what I’m talking about. I mean those windows where an extra player here or there would make a difference. The only winter window we really did it was under redknapp when levy was scared we’d be dragged into a relegation battle so we spent money on Defoe, palacios etc.

sorry didn't think you was talking about them windows
I agree with you there

I thought Levy was supposed to have sanctioned an amount that Paratici Conte etc can spend and left it up to them. (No idea if that's actually the case. None of us are really privy to these things.)

My question is: if there isn't much activity this window, is that on Levy or Paratici and co? Or maybe just poor crops this harvest?

would had thought that Conte would have watched videos spoken to Paratici to see what he may need to get in quickly
then before signing got Levy to agree transfer money available
Conte doesn't need us, he has enough money to wait for the right job, only got a downside in coming here without agreeing transfer pot
Conte must like/trust Paratici otherwise he won't have signed for us

would be a theft

my feeling: levy gave them all the freedom on market matters, but with 0 net spending (in fact their strategy is to swap players)

can't believe Conte would sign with 0 net spend,
he would want at least 2/3 good playersper window

on Tanganga I'm not a fan, but the guy has little first team experiance, needs loan to champship and play good amout of mins each game in mid table team (so top/bottom pressure not on the manager)

Yeah, I can’t see that.

He’ll get backed to the tune of around £100 million. Anymore will need to come from sales. So, if he’s after six very good players, we’ll have to raise funds from Dele, Tanguy et al.
That’s not too bad as long as they have the decision on in’s, outs and fees….. if the bald cunt is still middling about it will go tits up

Tanguy won’t attract a fee due to his wages, we will need to be more bullish and flog first teamers like PEH, Sanchez, Lucas etc

To be honest, there isn’t a single apart from Lloris I would be against moving on if fees are made available for new players….. Son, Kane see ya.

Tottenham are hesitant to sign Brighton starlet Tariq Lamptey because of his price tag as they continue their reported pursuit of Wolves winger Adama Traore. Antonio Conte has entered his first transfer window as Spurs boss and is expected to make a couple of additions to his squad.

Traore ‘wants to play under Conte’ in huge Tottenham transfer boost
The Italian has enjoyed success in his short spell at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Conte is unbeaten in his first eight Premier League matches and has seen Spurs into the semi-final of the EFL Cup – although suffered a 2-0 first-leg defeat versus Chelsea.

It is a major turnaround from the poor form under his predecessor Nuno Espirito Santo.

Spurs are now sixth and are just two points off fourth-placed Woolwich as they seek a late Champions League surge.

However, that has not stopped Conte earmarking potential signings. The 52-year-old has made clear that he wants to complete business this month.

Wing-backs, centre-backs and forwards have been widely linked with Spurs, with Brighton’s Lamptey one of the names Express Sport understands to be of interest.

We understand £50million-rated Lamptey is of interest to both Spurs and north London rivals Woolwich.

But Spurs consider the 21-year-old to be too pricey, according to journalist Dean Jones. Managing director of football Fabio Paratici will instead crack on with his pursuit of Wolves ace Traore.

Conte is widely understood to feel that he can turn Traore into a wing-back in the same way he modified Victor Moses’ game when he was head coach at Chelsea

I didn't and don't expect us to make a bid, 50 million is probably our entire transfer. We aren't going to spend it on him.

I find it hard to believe that Conte really wants this fella. Especially in light of his recently softening of his stance.
More likely, "we can't afford the signing you want, it's Traore or nothing".
