Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

That’s not too bad as long as they have the decision on in’s, outs and fees….. if the bald cunt is still middling about it will go tits up

Tanguy won’t attract a fee due to his wages, we will need to be more bullish and flog first teamers like PEH, Sanchez, Lucas etc

To be honest, there isn’t a single apart from Lloris I would be against moving on if fees are made available for new players….. Son, Kane see ya.
I totally agree
I think that the freedom to decide about in's and out's is the only reason why conte is here.
it's clear that without that, he will be gone ASAP

Tottenham are hesitant to sign Brighton starlet Tariq Lamptey because of his price tag as they continue their reported pursuit of Wolves winger Adama Traore. Antonio Conte has entered his first transfer window as Spurs boss and is expected to make a couple of additions to his squad.

Traore ‘wants to play under Conte’ in huge Tottenham transfer boost
The Italian has enjoyed success in his short spell at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Conte is unbeaten in his first eight Premier League matches and has seen Spurs into the semi-final of the EFL Cup – although suffered a 2-0 first-leg defeat versus Chelsea.

It is a major turnaround from the poor form under his predecessor Nuno Espirito Santo.

Spurs are now sixth and are just two points off fourth-placed Woolwich as they seek a late Champions League surge.

However, that has not stopped Conte earmarking potential signings. The 52-year-old has made clear that he wants to complete business this month.

Wing-backs, centre-backs and forwards have been widely linked with Spurs, with Brighton’s Lamptey one of the names Express Sport understands to be of interest.

We understand £50million-rated Lamptey is of interest to both Spurs and north London rivals Woolwich.

But Spurs consider the 21-year-old to be too pricey, according to journalist Dean Jones. Managing director of football Fabio Paratici will instead crack on with his pursuit of Wolves ace Traore.

Conte is widely understood to feel that he can turn Traore into a wing-back in the same way he modified Victor Moses’ game when he was head coach at Chelsea
I'd prefer Traore as a wing back rather than further up the pitch, still not totally convinced about Lamptey either... but what do I know 🤔

I don’t see any defensive development opportunity in Adama, I don’t see him being an effective wing back. I think Conte can get him flying in the final third off the ball but as a wing back? Nah I don’t think so

Mate the only downside with this kid is injuries. He’s a fucking superstar in the making if he keeps fit. One of my mates is a big BHA fan and says he’s sensational. Pace, touch, can beat a man and has a final ball
Surely we should just go for him in the summer rather piss around spending money on 26 yr old whose basically failed every where his been? Just go for quality instead of hoping we can turn into a decent WB.

How about getting Gigi winaldum he’ll be free he would improve our midfield immediately.
Bale potentially as well.
A left option could be pogba I’m not his biggest fan but could be on free and has played under more before.

we can't say Levy hasn't spend our money on transfers (something like £250m spent) trouble is hardly any of the players we got have worked out,
go back to bale money only Eriksen really worked out
for me one of the troubles has been not spending when that chance was there to move forward
Saha & Nelson
not getting charlie Austin in Januray of Leicster season (extra striker maybe more wins, we win the EPL)
another is Levy's worked out there is big cost and risk in trying to move from position 8 to top four (if you get top 4 you may get the money back, match fees etc) but 5,6,7 nd its the other euro comps that that's just money down the drain

but in the recent past we have spent money on players, GLC, Ndombele, Romano, Sess, Clarke, Doc, etc
there is at least £200M with that and other summer buys
But these players are either duds or just not good enough
if its Levy that's picking these players he needs the sack (not possible as the owns too many shares)
if its others picking the players then its them at fault

We don't spend. We sell and reinvest.
Over the last few years we've stopped either wanting to sell, or not had players to sell.

It's also not just about transfer fees when we fall short. It's about structured deals not being accepted and wages being a problem. These issues seem to affect us far more than most other clubs in our size bracket.

The club need to bare its teeth in this window.

We have an 'A' grade manager who won't want any dent in his reputation, so it's imperative that we show intent.

What that looks like and how it will be viewed will range from one observer to the next but doing nothing will have ramifications.

For a squad as disjointed as ours and with so many players performing nowhere near their best, for us to be in a position, if we win our games in hand to be 4th, is one of the weirdest things I can recollect in.recent times.

We will see in the next 23 days but Conte holds the cards because at the current time we need him.more than he needs us.
