You say the evidence is not fit for purpose but you're also using it as evidence that Conte wants Traore.

You brought VDV up, I'm implying reply to your point.

I am heeding it, 50 million is the going rate for somebody like Lampety, I don't like the market but that is the reality. You're prepared to take a risk but a medium one, I would go with high risk because

  1. We have a great manager who can improve him and nurture him
  2. 4th place is open, if we get it we can make that money back in the CL.
  3. The signing would give the team a lift and show we want to win trophies.
You are wasting your time talking to Levy's doppleganger this risk adverse nonsense is part of the reason we never kick on.
Apparently if they fell over and grazed their knee when they was nine it's a risk.

We should do whatever it takes to sign Maddison. Sell Ndombele, Lo Celso... On current form he's outstanding. He would also improve both Kane and Son too, certainly their stats this season.

You are quite irritated aren't you.

I'm sorry if you find accountability for one's own posts irritating..... I clearly bolded and underlined the parts of your OG post that I was contesting.

Please see original post pasted below:

"I agree. Expecting Levy to stay loyal to his true priorities.

Conte is already making noises in the press conferences though so it'll be Levy's reputation destroyed if a clear statement of intent isn't made in this window.

Even if its just signing a couple of top quality free transfers for the summer."

......... I believe im hinting that it can wait until summer as long as ambition is shown now.

Maybe I'm misinterpreting my own post?

So what was all the extensive talk of January all about then?

......I mean, I have faked none of your quotes. Double-check if you wish.

As per the close of my last post: I too hope Conte is backed in the summer..... Much like I hope we can carve some helpful deals in the meantime.

But you're using it as evidence yourself for your argument, if the evidence isn't fit for purpose as you claim, then you shouldn't be citing it.

You're clearly struggling... I've not questioned the credibility of the content of the article..... I took it on face value; in goof faith for the purposes of our discussion.

What I'm establishing is that the content doesn't vindicate you. I've explained how/why at least twice, so perhaps revisit as required.

Then I guess you shouldn't have mentioned him in the first place then.

I only mentioned him in a relevant context..... You're the one that drifted off about players that had no contextual relevance.

You're the one saying there is a huge injury question mark,

Not just me...

I would let the medical team do their job and if they find that there is some kind of long term problem, then I won't buy.

But you're not..... You've stated it as green that you would buy him and yet that we inevitably won't buy him cos we don't buy expensive defenders 'cos Levy'.

Romero - 50m
Dav - 40m
Sess / Emerson / Reg = circa 30m.

Maybe the club don't see him as a 50m player cos injury concerns/Conte/other?

The article YOU chose to riff off of doesn't specify.

We come full circle.

Your 2 x OG claims have not been vindicated.

What makes you think he’s not?

Well I don't think a player is ruined because for the first time in about 10 years he's been poor to average for more than a few weeks. I've also seen enough of him under Conte to know that he'll get better as the team improves.

I have doubts that he'll ever be what he once was, In fact, I recently said we've already see the very best of both Kane and Son. But to write him off completely is madness, and sounds more like that's what you actually want to happen which is very strange for a Tottenham fan.
