Our colossal-failure-duo of Lo Celso+Ndombele being living proof of it.

Also up to now there are more recent examples of Bergwijn and Royal about quality of scouting for players who should be in contention to start and push us further.

I know the majority of the supporters here want rid, but I'd just like to point out Emerson is only turning 23 this week. Is he the answer at RB now? No. But i'd rather dump Davies (28) and Doherty (29). He's no worse than either of them right now, despite being 5-6 years younger.

He is worse than Davies in this formation. Poor in the final third which is an issue for a wing back

Yes, but i still think he's trash at CB. He was trash at LB. Wherever he plays. I'm not saying Royal should be the starter, just that i'd rather we sell Davies and/or Doherty, since they are 5/6 years older.

I'm fine with Royal as a sub for squad depth, maybe he improves. But Davies/Doherty don't belong on a starting XI in any formation.
