Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

If this guy ain't the future of football, I'll be damned. I can barely contain my excitement when I think about him.
I know nothing about this guy, but you do make him sound exciting.

But didn't we just have half the forum crying out that we should be buying a finished product instead of young promising players like Sarr and Gill? Or is this guy already a well rounded 19yr old that could play every game?

From BBC Gossip

Paris St-Germain, AC Milan, Roma, Lyon, Barcelona and Newcastle United are among clubs that could be interested in 25-year-old French midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, whose future at Tottenham is uncertain after he was booed by Spurs supporters when substituted in Sunday's FA Cup third round win against Morecambe. The magic of the FA Cup-set
Newcastle United could rival Ajax in pursuit of 24-year-old Netherlands winger Steven Bergwijn, whose representatives are looking at loan options for him away from Tottenham. (90min)

Ajax have already made a £15m bid for Bergwijn and are keen to complete a deal for him before they face Utrecht on Sunday. (Telegraaf - in Dutch)

This is his debut season in France. He was on loan in Denmark last season. Reims are managing his minutes at the moment. I don't know if moving to England in this window would be the right thing for his development. That's the million-dollar question.

Real M. are apparently serious about signing Kessie according to this article.

Hitchens got to go hasn’t he? Sure we don’t shop from the very finest of establishments but it’s only the level down after city, Chelsea and some of the European elite and he’s been an unmitigated disaster

Just dud after dud after dud
He's a pwopa football man though. I hear all of our problems are because we don't have any football men in the club.

'Redknapp told The Telegraph: “We have just lost our French scout, who is excellent.

“He’s just gone to Liverpool, so he’s nicked him off us a bit lively. It’s a boy called Steve Hitchen and he was really good, an English boy who lived in France.

“He’s gone to Liverpool. But he was very, very good and we liked him a lot. He would have been our main scout abroad.”

Seven years later, Tottenham have got him back, and expertise in the French market could be valuable after a poor success rate buying from across the channel in recent years.'

Lord the irony that he’s an ‘expert French’ league scout:contefacepalm2:

3rd or 4th choice targets. Let our rivals take the cream, then rummage through the left overs at the end of the window.
The tried and tested ENIC way.
Ndombele was the cream.

Face it mate, we're cursed. Our strategy is to be penny-wise, pound foolish in the transfer market. We let our primary targets pass us by, then when Levy finally feels pressure he spends lavishly on players like Ndombele, Soldado, and Sissoko.

Wasn't he just a panic buy in the last days of the window when we realised we couldn't get anyone better? The other two are fair though, I do think the club didn't do its homework on Ndombele (or did, and still evaluated him worthy of a huge investment) but he and Soldado were certainly very highly rated when brought in.

Sissoko was already viewed as very mediocre and we were mocked for signing him .. funny thing is he turned out actually quite useful.

Yes, he was at the absolute tail-end of the window, but I think it still serves my point in a way because people were so fucking desperate that they were proud of Levy flushing down 33 for someone that took two seasons to learn how to trap a football.

Our record signings are Ndombele, Sanchez, Lo Celso, Soldado, Sissoko, Lamela, and Bergwijn. Cursed list.

Lol

The club should put him in the reserves. Really rile him up; piss him off royally to the point where he does something really stupid, hopefully something stupid to the extent that it will allows a smart Levy attorney to throw the book at him for breach of contract/defamation. Then we can terminate the agreement without paying out the contract.
Wishful thinking….
