Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Spain international Traore is ready to leave Molineux this month and Spurs are hopeful of closing a deal with Wolves. However, we understand they are open to the idea of players going in the opposite direction – either permanent or loan.

We believe that the likes of Joe Rodon, Japhet Tanganga, Ryan Sessegnon and Jack Clarke have been mentioned.

If we give them Sessegnon, watch Wolves very quickly establish really balanced, effective wingbacks in him and Semedo.

I know Ryan has been deeply underwhelming, but he’s one of the few players who I think can really improve.

He was all the rage 12 months ago. I know Lazio were after silly money.

Looks like he’s having a good season.
May have been even longer, from memory I think United were in big for him two years ago and decided not to, was meant to be 50-60m. A lot to spend when you already have Pogba who contributes similar things. He's very good.. goals, assists, retains possession well. Strong in the air, threat at set pieces, defends set pieces well. Think he'd be more of a 3-5-2 player than a 3-4-3 though, but probably available for less than 40m now.

It doesn't have to be Adama we sign, and Duncan Castles might know no more than myself, but I really hope we're not as motionless in the market as we seem to be. Would show a staggering lack of ambition given that the manager/formation change has left us with glaring needs.

I’ve only seen him play a few times.

Is he more of a deep laying play maker, or is he more of an aggressive 8/10?

I think this will get pushed onto the summer nobody will come in this month and that will be the excuse to the fanbase

Wolves signing Sessegnon makes zero sense to me because Ait-Nouri is streets ahead of him. Unless, of course, a bigger club has come in for him (Ait-Nouri).

You know the way Pogba plays when he's at his best in that left half-space attacking midfield role? That's kind of what SMS is about, except not as flashy technically, and more of a threat in the box. Doesn't have the ability to play killer balls like Bruno/kdb, but uses his frame/intelligence for neat passing moves around the box. Now, it's not like I've watched him play every week, but he's been good when I have.

I fear Conte meeting Levy and Paratici on the 10th January to discuss transfers was a clue in where we're heading this window. I get that he wanted to assess the squad a bit but i'm afraid the lack of planning just sums up our headless chicken approach and why we are so bad in the market these days.

Like, I think we'll get a player, maybe even two(loan or cheap or obligation to buy).. But only once we move on a few of Dele, Ndombele, Rodon, Bergwijn, Doherty. And even then, it'll be "opportunities" in the market, not players specifically picked to ideally fix a shortcoming of our team.

Ah, ok.

Probably not the sort of player Conte is looking for at the moment then.

It's looking more likely that the meeting was about summer signings really can't see three people coming in during the last week.
I know as a club we love the trolley dash approach but if they are unable to bring someone in by now why should we bother.

I agree, i think we'll probably end up with 2 but as you say it will just be random scattergun signings on loan or out of contract in the summer. Just throw something at the wall and hope it sticks which has been our transfer philosophy for 6 years now.

I normally agree that i'd rather not sign anyone than panic and just add a load more fodder we'll be trying to bin off in 12 months. However this window is a bit different, without signing anyone i dont see us getting top 4 and given the other sides involved there has to be a chance for us to achieve that. Also we have a pretty tenuous grip on our very demandng manager and i think we need to serve up at least 1 first team quality player this window with the promise of more come summer.

hope it wasn't about summer buys, that would mean another wasted season (or half season for conte
I know we have to move a few on, but the DoF knew that in the summer, by the time Conte arrive the DoF must have know who HE would get rid of, surely he would have put wheels in motion in case Conte also wanted the same players out, (not saying getting deal done , just putting out feelers)
Just Doneunderstand what the DoF has been doing since the summer, how long does it take to make calls to clubs seeing if they want this/that player
