Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Didn’t Poch also loathe Tanguy? Shows how much influence the actual manager at PSG has over transfers. Poor Poch having to be re-saddled with that joker.
Loathe may be a strong word. He was also the one who insisted in Spurs buying him. And he knows that if Ndombele thrives in PSG - due to Paris and friends in PSG - he could turn into a "world-beater". A 6 months loan deal is not a huge risk for PSG anyway. And if Ndombele would thrive at PSG then his market value would increase.
So for Spurs this is a win-win situation.

Am I the only one surprised there’s not more interest in Eriksen? He’s literally as low risk as it comes, positive publicity, and before his event, still an excellent player. And his event really shouldn’t affect his football ability at all. People act like he’s coming back from a major knee injury and is some unknown physically. We could really use him.
He came back from death. And no one knows what might happen to him. There is a reason why Aguero quit due to heart issues and that no players in any top league (to my knowledge) plays with a defibrillator or pacemaker.
Besides, he's not played for 6 months.

Re: Gil. Not sure I fully buy into the idea that he urgently needs time playing in England, I think he needs a loan somewhere he'll start and play at as high a level as possible, or hold on to him and try to give him some game time. When we bought him it's not as if he had reached his peak in Spain and England was his next logical step. He's 20yo, 5 months playing regularly for a La Liga side would be a good move for him.

If it were any other club, I think we’d have to assume that reinforcements are coming. Especially since Conte just said about the importance of not weakening our side and how we have depth issues.

But it is Spurs, so….

Indeed. Also I severely doubt Poch has all that much say in transfers. As a starting point, and even more so while he's a dead man walking (unless a CL triumph is incoming). Which is part of the problem/reason he doesn't seem happy there.

Sounds good!

Was watching Watford vs Norwich on Friday and funnily enough I kept on thinking that either of these sides could do with him and wouldn’t be a bad shout.

Another one would be Brighton (perhaps include his loan as part of any deal for Lampety)

Watford has about a billion attacking players in their squad, plus they'll likely sack 3 or 4 managers before the end of the season, and you never know whether the new guy fancies playing him. Pass for him.

I do agree though that keeping him in the PL and letting his adjustment to England and the PL is preferable to sending him abroad. Maybe some Dyche tough love could do wonders? In before Burnley putdowns....they aren't as "just hoof the ball" as they were a few seasons ago" and Wood gone - pending them bringing in a new big fella - will force that transition even more.
