Transfers January 2022 - Transfer Window

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Gold "Best case Scenario":

Paratici completes a loan deal for Genoa's versatile 21-year-old Andrea Cambiaso, who can play as a wing-back or full-back on either side of the pitch, with an option to buy the Italy U21 defender in the summer.
How come this guy's name has come up suddenly with a few days to go? Likewise the 19 year semi professional and Mr. S Armpit. This is classic Levy barrel scraping....

All those people saying "wait until the Jan window is closed before we get upset with Levy" are readying up the "It's the January transfer window, let's wait until after the summer window is closed before we get upset with Levy" narrative already. We have seen it every season for the last how many years now?

It never ends, always excuses, always moving the goalposts and never acknowledging the truth, which is that these owners and Daniel Levy couldn't care less about the results on the pitch or success in the form of honours.

Got nothing to do with Levy AFAIC.....

Could just as easily have Ronald McDonald as Chairman...... I'll pass initial judgement a window once it shuts. Then I'll review my thoughts on those players once they've had a chance to make an impact.

From there; I'd already long stated Summer 2022(*) is a line-in the sand in terms of judging any broader notion of our spending-based ambitions.

(*formerly Summer 2021.... 2 summers after stadium opened, but Covid delayed any perceivable income boost on that front.)

Regardless; I'll be thoroughly disappointed if we haven't found a way to boost our top 4 hopes by Monday.

Trippier stirring shit. Will be honest about him. A cheating gambler. A poor mans kyle walker and tottenham was a club too big for him. Thats the reality.
He has just joined the richest club in the world.
Yes, i know they could still go down etc etc
But lets not get too up ourselves .

Maybe that's our problem with transfers. We, like Levy, don't realise we are not as attractive an option as we think we are.

Not a dig, just a general observation of our fanbase, including me :)

I think all DoF's are in bed with agents...money. money and more money....

None of that changes until Lewis is gone, he invests nothing and so we rely on self generated wealth even though the asset value is sky rocketing. This is the only way we will operate until we get a new owner, an 80 year old isn’t changing his spots.

Sooooo….

We’ve gone from being angry because we’re signing someone who can’t get into the Wolves side and has the first touch of a drunk alpaca, and as such not backing the manager with players to improve us, to being angry because we’re not signing someone who can’t get into the Wolves side and has the first touch of a drunk alpaca, and as such not backing the manager with players to improve us. Is that right?

Need to make sure I know what I’m angry about.

Personally I take a not quite good enough for tottenham and cheating gamblers comments in a shit mischevious paper with a pinch of salt tbh.

You are a man who loves the minutiae, I am a big picture man. Frankly I don't have the energy you seem to have for arguing over the "he said, she said" that's your bag and you own it.

The Big picture is that this keeps happening to Spurs and all roads lead to Levy.

Fair enough.....

Big (even bigger) picture.... Some deals get done... Some don't....... Counts for all clubs.

........Too broad a picture for your liking?

“I think Tottenham have got a lot of irons in a lot of fires,” he told The Transfer Gossip Daily Podcast. “And so, Diaz is one of the players they like. But there are numerous, and I’m told there are perhaps some even ahead of him on their wishlist.”
The “wish list” that becomes the we tried list
